Here are a few tips for ordinary people to distinguish the function of the therapeutic instrument. Even if you don't have much professional knowledge, if you happen to come into contact with a therapeutic instrument, you can get a general understanding of its function and technological level by the following methods.

First, cure all diseases

If it is claimed that the therapeutic instrument can treat a variety of diseases, that is, the so-called "cure all diseases", the dealer can be required to show the medical device registration certificate. The trick to reading the registration certificate is to read the "manufacturing approval form" on the second page. There is a column in this form called "product application scope", and all the diseases that can be treated by this therapeutic instrument are written on it. Whether the dealer exaggerates the function of the therapeutic instrument is clear at a glance.

This certificate is a necessary license for the production and sale of medical devices. If the distributor can't provide a copy of this certificate, it may be illegal to operate, and can report it directly to the local drug administration and the industrial and commercial department.

I often encounter diseases that have a registration certificate and an approval form, but there is no dealer to treat in the form. In order to promote their own products, some dealers may arbitrarily exaggerate the function of the therapeutic instrument, expand the scope of treatment, and even conduct special "business training" for sales staff, so that when selling to customers, they can not only explain the function of the therapeutic instrument clearly, but also answer the questions raised by customers one by one. Consumers should pay more attention to avoid being misled.

Second, it is very safe.

Therapeutic instruments are used to treat diseases, and electronic therapeutic instruments should have corresponding safety protection functions. If the safety of the therapeutic instrument itself is not good, it may cause new physical harm to consumers. When the dealer says "very safe", consumers can quickly identify whether it has some important safety protection functions by browsing the instruction manual of the instrument or simply operating the instrument:

1, no error-proof function, and strict requirements on operation sequence.

For example, "Please turn on the power supply in the following order (1), (2) adjust the output to the minimum, (3) connect the skin electrode ..." and so on. It shows that the therapeutic instrument has no function of preventing misoperation. If the user accidentally presses the wrong switch, he may get an electric shock.

2, no output short circuit protection function

If there is "Don't short-circuit the output electrode to avoid damaging the instrument" or similar words in the manual, it can be judged that the instrument has no perfect short-circuit protection function. If the electrodes are short-circuited (two electrodes collide directly), it may damage the instrument or reduce its performance. The instrument does not meet the requirements of short circuit protection in industry standards.

3, no constant current source output function

The output current of the instrument with the above words is greatly affected by the load, that is, when the load is reduced or shorted, its output current will increase sharply. This instrument does not have the function of constant current source output, and the current will fluctuate greatly due to the unstable load during treatment, which may not only damage the instrument, but also cause electric shock to the patient, and the safety of treatment is not good. The instrument does not meet the stability requirements in the current industry standards.

For example, "avoid short circuit of the output electrode, so as not to damage the instrument", indicating that the therapeutic instrument has no short circuit protection function and no constant current source output function. The short-circuit protection function is to protect the therapeutic instrument from being damaged by short-circuit of the output line, and the output function of the constant current source is to protect the user, so that the output current will not fluctuate greatly and ensure the safety of treatment.

4. No power interruption protection

If the manual has strict requirements on the operation sequence:

At the beginning of treatment, you must operate in the following order: (1) Turn on the power switch; (2) Adjust the output to the minimum; (3) Place the skin electrode. At the end of treatment, the operations must be performed in the following order: (1) Adjust the output to the minimum; (2) remove the skin electrode; (3) Turn off the power switch.

There are similar requirements in the operation sequence, indicating that the instrument has no corresponding protection function, which may cause instant electric shock to the patient when the power supply is connected or disconnected. If the power supply is suddenly turned on after the interruption during the treatment, the suddenly restored output current will cause a strong electric shock to the patient, because the operator has no time to take out the electrode. When the power supply is restored after power interruption, the instrument does not meet the protection requirements of industry standards.

5, no electrode shedding protection function

Separate the two electrodes on the treatment line, don't connect anything (open circuit), turn on the power supply and increase the output current. If the instrument still has normal output indication, it means that the instrument does not have the function of output open circuit protection (electrode drop protection). In the case of open circuit output, the output voltage is many times higher than normal, and will reach 100 volts or more. If you suddenly touch the electrode at this time, it will cause a strong electric shock to the patient.

With this protection function, if the electrode is open, the instrument will automatically cut off the output and give a warning to ensure the safety of patients.
