The fat content in milk is only 3%. Drinking a bag of 250 grams (243 ml) of milk every day will increase the fat by 7.5 grams. For urban families, the daily intake of fat is usually more than 80 grams, and the fat in milk is not high for a day.
Low-fat milk or semi-skimmed milk contains 1.0% ~ 1.5% fat, and full-fat skimmed milk contains 0.5% fat. Therefore, replacing full-fat milk with low-fat milk means reducing fat by 3.75 ~ 5.0 grams, even skim milk can only reduce fat by 6.25 grams. In contrast, cooking with less oil, not eating fried food, eating less pork and going to restaurants are the main fat-reducing plans.
Vitamins A and D in milk and conjugated linoleic acid, an anticancer substance, exist in the fat part. There are also aroma components in milk fat. Removing fat from milk will significantly affect its nutritional value, flavor, taste and satiety. Therefore, there is no need to choose skim low-fat milk unless there is a need to control blood lipids.
