Anyone who finds a proverb or two about yoga, thank you very much!
Iyengar yoga motto

In life, it is never too late to practice yoga.

If there was an age limit for practicing yoga, I should have stopped practicing yoga a long time ago. Why do I still practice like this?

Many Indian practitioners, after reaching a certain point in their lives, say that they have reached Samadhi and do not need to practice any more.

But why haven't I said such a thing so far?

Learning is very interesting, and you can gain a lot through yoga learning.

But I didn't do it for fun.

Early fun used to be the goal, but now it seems to be incidental and secondary.

Intellectual sensitivity developed from practice should not abandon mistakes, which is why practice must continue.

What happens if you have a knife but don't use it? It will rust and become dull.

If you want to continue to use this knife, you must sharpen it regularly to keep it sharp.

Similarly, once you have experienced samadhi, how do you know that you are always alert and aware if you don't continue to practice afterwards?

Without practical practice, how can you say that you are alert and aware?

You may unconsciously return to the lifestyle you used to indulge in.

For a dancer, can you perform without practicing for a year at all?

For yogis, this is the same.

A person can reach the highest level, but when he thinks he has achieved his goal, he no longer needs to practice, and this person becomes unstable.

In order to maintain stability, practice must continue.

Sensitivity needs stability and must be maintained through fixed practice.

You may be 50 or 60 years old, and you are wondering if it is too late for me to practice yoga in my life.

An idea said: I'm going to start;

And the other part of the head is hesitant, hesitant.

Maybe it's fear. What causes fear?

Our hearts are playing three kinds of tricks:

Some want to move forward; some are unwilling to move forward; some are creating fear.

I'm surprised that we are all very good at generating bad ideas.

What I want to say is that we should learn to do everything well and concentrate on it.

People who understand life and death will understand that we are either swimming or sinking.

There is no choice between the two.

Life is swimming, and death is sinking.

If you know, there will be no fear.

Fear arises because we don't want to know life and death.

So why don't I face death happily?

Fear says that illness and suffering will increase as you get older.

Your reason will say that you should start yoga earlier, or that you should continue and never stop when you are young.

Now, you say that you are old, and it may be too late to start.

So you hesitated again!

It is best to start like this, and keep the regularity and rhythm of practice at the beginning.

After a certain age, the body will decline. If you do nothing,

You may not even be able to provide enough blood to places where blood is always needed.

Through asana practice, we can nourish the limbs and the inside of the body and keep the cells healthy.

However, if you say "I am old", the natural blood circulation will go backwards.

If the rain does not come, there will be drought and famine;

If you don't practice yoga, if you don't water your body,

Your body will suffer from incurable diseases such as drought and famine.

You can only accept them and be prepared for death.

Why can we irrigate our bodies and let drought happen?

When irrigation is something that can be done, it is natural to do so.

Disease is an aggressive force, and internal energy is a defensive force.

With growth, the defensive strength will gradually decrease and the offensive strength will increase relatively.

This is why diseases enter our system.

The body practicing yoga is like a fortress, maintaining its own defense and preventing the attack force of disease from entering the body.

What would you choose?

Yoga helps to maintain ideal resistance, which is what we call a healthy state.

Some people talked about the danger of yoga and the risk of injury.

If you walk in the street carelessly, you will have an accident. Would you advise people not to walk on the road?

People die in bed, so is it dangerous to sleep in bed?

I have been practicing yoga by myself for more than 50 years (by B.K.S.Iyengar 1988).

I also visited thousands of students on five continents.

Unfortunately, some yoga teachers know very little, but they are dropping out of school.

The problem of learning yoga injuries does not come from the art of yoga, but from inexperienced teachers and impatient students.

A person who can't stand walking is sure to fall down, and so is yoga.

Especially in western countries, what people want to practice most is the lotus peanut (lotus style, double plate).

They said, "I think I can do it!" " "

Unfortunately, this is what the brain thinks, but this is what the knee must do.

If you don't understand the function and ability of the knee, forcing the knee to follow your heart will hurt the knee.

However, if you can also understand the hardness and range of motion of the knee,

Step by step to eliminate stiffness, increase the range of motion of the knee, no danger!

If there is an accident in yoga, it is not the fault of yoga, but the initiative.

So, you can all do yoga.

A queen in Belgium started doing handstands at the age of 83, and nothing bad happened.

I hope this doesn't confuse what I have to say.

You can do yoga, but if you are wise and cautious, you know your ability and position.

If you want to imitate me now, you will definitely suffer, because I have been practicing yoga for more than half a century.

You must wait for yourself to reach that position.
