Environmental protection (hereinafter referred to as environmental protection) is a serious environmental pollution caused by industrial development, which first attracted the attention of industrialized countries. Make use of national laws and regulations and public opinion propaganda to urge the whole society to pay attention to and deal with pollution problems.

1962 American biologist Rachel? Carson published a book called Silent Spring, which expounded the pollution and destruction of pesticide DDT to the environment. Because of the warning in this book, the American government began to investigate the problem of highly toxic pesticides, and established the Environmental Protection Agency in 1970, and various states successively passed laws prohibiting the production and use of highly toxic pesticides. This book is regarded as the symbolic starting point of environmental ecology in the 20th century.

Guanting Reservoir Protection Office was established in Beijing, and Three Wastes Treatment Office was established in Hebei Province. * * * While studying and dealing with the pollution problem of Guanting Reservoir in pesticide plant, Shacheng, Hebei Province, China issued a law to formally ban the production and use of DDT nationwide. 1973 Established the Environmental Protection Office under the State Construction Committee, and later changed it to the State Environmental Protection Administration directly under the State Council. Provinces (cities, districts) have also established environmental protection bureaus (departments). And set up an environmental reporting hotline 12369 and an online center 12369 to receive reports of environmental pollution incidents from the masses.

Environmental protection-concept

First, we must abide by the prohibition of littering, and throw the waste into designated places or containers, especially don't throw waste batteries, because the heavy metals contained in a waste battery will cause very serious pollution if it flows into clean water.

Second, in learning, we should try our best to save stationery and put an end to waste. For example, pencils are made of wood, and wasting pencils is equivalent to destroying forests.

Thirdly, try to avoid using disposable beverage cups, foam lunch boxes, plastic bags and disposable chopsticks, and replace them with ceramic cups, paper lunch boxes, cloth bags and ordinary bamboo chopsticks, which can greatly reduce the generation of garbage.

Fourth, we should take good care of flowers and trees, not destroy urban greening, and actively participate in greening and tree planting activities.

Fifth, please bring your own shopping bags (mainly cloth bags) to avoid using non-recyclable and non-degradable plastic bags.

Sixth, save water. Please turn off the tap when brushing your teeth.

Seventh, try to use footsteps instead of cars or bicycles.
