Starting from 1948, Ford introduced the first F-series pickup truck. Although most F-series pickup trucks use full-size commercial vehicle chassis, they have been the best-selling pickup truck models in the United States since 1977, and most of them are used as household utility vehicles. Whether going to work or going to the supermarket on weekends, F-series pickups are the best partners of Americans. So far, the F- 150 in the F series is still the most popular model. Until China officially imported the first batch of 20 17 F- 150 raptor, it has developed to the 13 generation aircraft. However, with the diversification of the market, Ford no longer meets the current domestic pickup trucks, and gradually develops F-series pickup trucks with different uses to make up for the gap with large heavy trucks, so the F-250-F-750 was born! The protagonist of this paper is the "entry version" of Super Duty series, which is a luxury, comfortable and practical F-250 Super Duty.
The first generation of F-250 overload (hereinafter referred to as F-250) was listed on 1998 (model 1999). The first generation model I * * * was produced and sold for eight years, and it was not until 2007 that the first generation F250 was officially discontinued. In terms of body structure, almost every generation of Ford F-series pickup trucks has three layouts, namely, a two-door version of the ordinary cab, a split four-door version of the super cab and an ordinary four-door version of the super passenger. As for the driving mode, you can choose two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive.
The matching of power system makes the variety of the first generation F-250 more expanded, but it also makes people feel dizzy in the choice. For gasoline engines, there are 4.2-liter Essex V6 engine (Brazil market only), 5.4-liter Triton V8 engine and 6.8-liter Triton V 10 engine respectively. There are more diesel engines, such as 7.3-liter Powerstroke V8, 6.0-liter Powerstroke V8, 4.2-liter MWM- international Sprint inline six-cylinder turbodiesel engine (Brazil and right-hand drive countries such as Australia, South Africa and Britain) and 3.9-liter and 2.8-liter Cummins engines.
Compared with the first generation F-250, the production time of the second generation is much shorter, from 2008 to 20 10. This generation of F-250 not only looks more elegant, but also adds some humanized facilities, such as Ford TowCommand TBC (Trailer Brake Control System). In terms of power, there are 5.4-liter Triton V8 and 6.8-liter Triton V 10 gasoline engines and 6.4-liter Powerstroke V8 diesel engines to choose from.
20 1 1 Ford F-250 was updated for the second time, and the front face of the model became bigger. As for beauty and ugliness, everyone really has different opinions. At the same time, the engine part has also been fully upgraded to better cope with new competitors: Chevrolet Silverado and Dodge Ram. In addition to the existing two-wheel drive and four-wheel drive, Ford also added a differential lock to the F-250, further improving the load capacity of the third-generation F-250. In terms of power, this generation of F-250 has been slimmed down, equipped with 6.2-liter Boss single overhead camshaft V8 engine, 6.8-liter Triton V 10 engine and 6.7-liter Powerstroke turbocharged V8 engine.
By 20 17, the fourth generation F-250 will be put on the market. Personally, it is also the best-looking F-series pickup truck.
When the Ford Super Duty series pickup trucks developed to the fourth generation, it happened to be the era when the country implemented the fixed-point relaxation policy for pickup trucks. Thanks to the unofficial introduction of F- 150, people have a brand-new understanding of pickup trucks. From the tattered domestic pickup trucks decades ago to the 500,000-600,000 pickup trucks now, pickup trucks are no longer simply used for carrying goods or farming.
Figure: The picture shows the F-350 model of Super Duty series, which is almost the same in appearance as the F-250, but different in small details such as engine output, because the larger the specification, the more commercial value it has, such as greater traction.
Photo: The F-350 super cab, personally, is more like a farm model, with a single row of seats, a longer cargo hopper and stronger carrying capacity.
However, the policy seems unfair to pickup trucks. Even the high-priced imported F- 150 Raptor will become a highly polluting vehicle neglected by major cities as long as there is one more cargo hopper. There are reasons why pickup trucks are restricted on the Internet: in the 1980s and 1990s, a large number of Japanese Isuzu light trucks were introduced in China, especially in southern China, and it is said that relatively low-end large-displacement diesel engines were used, which led to unqualified emissions; The open cargo hopper without cover also makes the goods scattered all over the floor. What's more, the cargo hopper of the truck affects the city appearance. In answer to the first question, the author would like to say that in that era of the last century, even the emission of cars could not meet the standard, let alone a commercial light truck. Does anyone dare to say that the emissions of domestic trucks must meet the standards? If you can, it won't let the car you are not paying attention to be labeled yellow. In addition, the emissions of many Japanese cars produced in 1980s and 1990s are even lower than those of self-owned brands supported by many countries. Another problem is that goods are easily scattered, which affects the city appearance. By the way, apart from the garbage collection car, which car owner would like to see his things scattered all over the floor, as long as it is repaired, will it be okay? Finally, the open cargo hopper affects the city appearance, which is even more nonsense. Spitting and littering are enough to affect the city appearance! Rugged sidewalks are enough to affect the city appearance! Why not exile these immoral people and those who destroy sidewalks to the northwest to open up wasteland? Well, it's too far. Every time I talk about these issues, I forget the "space limit", so I still come back to the F-250.
The brand-new fourth-generation F-250 is produced in plants in Lake Avon, Ohio and Louisville, Kentucky. Although the appearance of the new car continues the general design of the third generation, two "thick" chrome trim strips on the net extend to the headlights, which is more full and impactful. In the body layout, there are still two-door version of ordinary cab, split four-door version of super cab and ordinary four-door version of super passengers. According to this reasoning, isn't the standard four-door extended cargo hopper called super passenger cab? According to the level of configuration, there are entry-level XL, upgraded XLT, advanced lasso, King Ranch and platinum. It is said that a parallel imported car dealer has launched a King Ranch version of the F-250, which is as comfortable as a car, but has a higher fuel consumption, similar to a GMC Savannah!
In the United States, automobile exhaust emission standards are even stricter than domestic standards, and such heavy-duty large-displacement pickup trucks can still be used normally, even exported to Europe, Australia and other places, which is enough to show that their emission standards are absolutely up to standard. You can't say that the exhaust emission standards of the United States, Australia and Europe are not as strict as those of China! In addition, I see that many people who drive pickup trucks will install a top cover, a lift-up cargo hopper cover or a pull-brake cargo hopper cover on the cargo hopper, not for fear that the goods will be knocked over, but for fear that some lawless people will treat my cargo hopper as a trash can, so it is definitely not a problem that will affect the city appearance!
Photo: Every generation of Ford F-series pickup trucks will launch King Ranch, and I prefer the former to the highest platinum version!
As for the interior, the author selected several interior drawings of King Ranch Edition, because even if Chinese people import F-250 or even F-450 in parallel, some people will only choose King Ranch Edition, because the loading function of pickup trucks is not used by domestic private users at all, and comfort, luxury and maneuverability are the primary purposes. The platinum version of the F-250 is basically similar to a car, so my uncle once dreamed of driving the King Ranch version to road trip and Tibet!
Photo: The armrest box has the exclusive Logo of King Ranch Edition, and the whole car is wrapped in fine leather to ensure comfort. The design of pocket file makes the armrest box bigger and better to use.
Figure: Unique storage compartment in the back seat maximizes space utilization.
Photo: The regular F-250 interior is also good. Generous and comfortable is the focus of Ford pickup truck. Load it! Because the labor force in the United States is expensive, bulk goods are generally moved by themselves, so the cargo bucket of pickup truck comes in handy.
In terms of power, the fourth generation F-250 is equipped with two engines: a 6.2-liter Boss single overhead camshaft V8 gasoline engine with a maximum horsepower of 385 horsepower and a maximum torque of about 58.2kg·m;; The 6.7-liter Powerstroke diesel V8 engine has a maximum horsepower of 440 HP and a maximum torque of 169.8kg, while the F-450 and above are equipped with a 6.8-liter V 10 gasoline engine. Such a powerful power output, if imported into China, I'm afraid not many people will use it to pull goods.
Figure: In the fourth generation, the power system was reduced to one engine for gasoline and one engine for diesel. In gasoline, it is equipped with a 6.2-liter SOHC V8 engine, while in diesel, it is equipped with a 6.7-liter Powerstroke V8 engine. The maximum horsepower is 385 and 440 respectively, and the maximum torque is 58.2 and 169.8kg/m respectively. ..
Compared with the F-250, the rear space of the F-350 is relatively small, but its working performance is stronger. The maximum traction of the F-350 non-loaded airframe is 7.62 tons, while the F-250 is "only" 5.67 tons. In addition, the GVWR of F-350 is also higher than that of F-250, and by analogy, F450 and F550 are becoming more and more powerful in these aspects. After watching the Ford F-250, it is better to look at the bigger and more ruthless characters in this series!
Photo: The Ford F-350 looks almost the same as the F-250. The picture shows the F-350 conventional cab which is more inclined to work.
Photo: F-450 pickup truck, in order to further improve the load capacity, the rear wheel has been set to four wheels. Of course, the F-350 also has four rear wheels.
Figure: Although the specifications are quite satisfactory, it has started to move towards commercial vehicles from the F-550.
Figure: The appearance of F-650/F750 is basically the same, and it is also a 100% commercial vehicle. Even if the average person installs a trailer, F-550 is enough.
Everyone has his own life, and they are all pickups, which are somewhat different in the bumpy fate. Due to the lack of advanced power system, domestic pickup trucks have no bright spots and are even ugly. In addition, the use of pickup trucks in China is really different from that abroad. They don't take pickup trucks seriously, and they don't repair them if they break down. Compared with foreign pickup trucks, independent brands are not competitive in price, which is one of the reasons why China has been imposing various restrictions on pickup trucks. Although the stronger power and more fashionable and flamboyant design of American pickup trucks can change some people's views, it has little effect on the overall lifting of the ban on pickup trucks. The key is that domestic pickup truck manufacturers should know how to keep pace with the times and "imitate" more in some aspects, so that pickup trucks can truly change the pedigree of commercial vehicles. However, according to some domestic independent brand automobile manufacturers supported by state funds, the word "keeping pace with the times" obviously does not apply to them. China people's stubborn ideas may not be changed in just one or two decades!
