How to Boot Self-loading System under DOS with U Disk
Whether the USB flash drive can become a boot disk depends on whether the motherboard supports booting from the USB port. If your motherboard doesn't work, even if you make a USB flash drive.

You can make a startup disk as follows:

1. Format the U disk as a startup disk (USB-ZIP type). There is an installer on the USB drive CD. After installation, you can find USB program items under the "Program" group and use the formatting tool software to make them.

2. Copy the "Drive" folder on the USB flash drive CD to the USB flash drive.

3. Press "Del" key to enter the BIOS when booting, select "Advanced BIOS Function" and press Enter, select "USB-ZIP" in the first boot device and "HDD-0" in the second boot device, then press "F 10" key to save and press Enter key to confirm the exit. If there is no "USB-ZIP" item in the computer BIOS, you can't start the computer with a USB flash drive.

4. Insert the U disk into the USB port, start the computer, create a drive directory on the C disk, and then copy the files in the drive of the U disk (here, the A disk) to the drive of the C disk. The command is:

MD C:\ drive

Copy drive \? . ? C:\ drive

Of course, you can also create a batch file on the U disk in advance, write the above two commands well, and only need to execute the batch file under DOS (the specific creation process is omitted).

5. Unplug the USB flash DRIVE, restart the computer, open the "Explorer" on the desktop, open the "Drive" folder on drive C, and double-click "Setup" to install the USB flash drive. Insert USB flash drive after installation according to the screen prompts.
