At present, China has cancelled the bonus policy for athletes. The original policy was that the collective or individual events of major international sports competitions in high school education won the top 6; Top 6 in national sports competitions; Get the title of national second-class athlete (inclusive) or above and participate in the unified test of sports talents organized by the whole city to meet the corresponding standards, plus 20 points. The unified test items for sports talents are track and field, basketball, football, volleyball, table tennis, martial arts, swimming, badminton, tennis and taekwondo. In the college entrance examination on or after 20 14, those who have won the title of national second-class athlete (inclusive) or above within the scope of non-sports special students' test items will no longer enjoy the care policy.

Legal basis:

Article 2 (1) of the Opinions on Further Reducing and Standardizing the Extra Points for College Entrance Examination Courses cancels the extra points for sports specialty students. Candidates who have won the titles of "Top 6 collective or individual events in major international sports competitions, Top 6 individual events in national sports competitions" and "National second-class athletes (inclusive) or above" in the senior secondary education stage are no longer eligible for extra points in the college entrance examination. Relevant candidates can choose to apply for high-level sports teams in colleges and universities, or enroll students in separate examinations in sports training, martial arts and national traditional sports, or enroll students in other sports majors.
