Open a picture and add a gradient map adjustment layer.

As shown in the figure, you can use your favorite hue by setting a gradient from cool color to warm color.

In the picture, the dark part is cold and the bright part is warm. You can add a curve adjustment layer to fine-tune the light and shadows. The picture below reduces the brightness of the background and makes it cold.
