What should be paid attention to in the cultivation of cherries and cherries?
First, the difference between cherry and cherry

? Cherry in a broad sense refers to a wider range, including cherries. Cherry belongs to Prunus of Rosaceae in plant classification, and the common ones are European sweet cherry (also called cherry) and China cherry. Therefore, cherry is actually a kind of cherry, but cherry and China cherry are different species of cherry, so there are also differences in cultivation.

Second, the matters needing attention in the process of cherry cultivation

1, select environment

According to the habit of cherry, choose sunny, leeward, good air circulation, convenient drainage and irrigation, and choose a flat place on the south slope to build the garden. Choose loose and fertile sandy loam with good air permeability, arrange the soil in advance, remove miscellaneous stones on the surface of the soil, clean up weeds, and carry out deep ploughing arrangement on the soil to maintain good air permeability.

Step 2 choose the time

? Cherry is neither resistant to high temperature nor low temperature, so it is best to plant it in autumn, which is beneficial to plant survival. It is best to avoid high temperature summer or low temperature winter when planting, otherwise the growth will be limited.

Step 3 choose saplings

? According to the local growth environment, cherry seedlings with developed roots, strong growth and no pests and diseases can be selected. Branches can be thinned and leaves cut in advance, which reduces the consumption of water and nutrients and is more conducive to the survival of planting.

4. Dig a pit for planting

? Determine the row spacing and plant spacing, generally 3m× 3m, and then dig a pit, the diameter of which should conform to the diameter of the root system of the seedling, apply the decomposed base fertilizer at the bottom of the pit, and then cover it with a layer of soil. When planting, cherry saplings should be planted in the pit, the roots should be stretched, the pit should be gradually filled with soil, and the roots should be gently lifted when filling, so that the roots can better fit the soil.

5. Daily management

After cherry saplings are planted, they should be watered immediately to promote rooting, and then properly shaded and fixed with brackets.

Three. Matters needing attention in cherry cultivation

1, the best breeding time

High-altitude layering is generally selected in the vigorous growth period of cherry (late spring and early summer); Grafting method is generally selected before germination in spring; The seedling raising method can be carried out 0 ~2 days after cherry harvesting; Cutting in the spring and summer growing season.

2, the best growth soil

? Sandy loam with loose soil and deep soil layer is the best soil for cherry growth.

3, growth humidity requirements

? Cherry likes wet, but it is also afraid of waterlogging and drought.

4. Optimum growth temperature

? The optimum growth temperature of cherry is 10 ~ 12℃, and the time when the daily average temperature is higher than 10℃ is 150 ~ 200 d, and it can grow well in the place where the extreme minimum temperature is not lower than -20℃ in winter, with normal results.

5, the best growth light

? Cherry likes light and is born on the sunny side of a hillside or beside a ditch. But dormant cherries don't need light.
