Is the date palm an Iraqi date?
I don't think so. The date may have different names in different places. Dates are different from the candied dates we usually eat. This is a new variety native to Iraq. As far as I know, there are introduced plants in coastal areas such as Fujian and Guangdong. I have never eaten it in China. I ate it twice. It was imported. The first feeling is that it is very sweet and tastes good. Eating other dates doesn't taste like that. Because it is sweet, it is better for the elderly with diabetes to eat less.
