Q: XP's Japanese input method cannot print Japanese characters after reinstalling the system?
A summary of several problems about XP Japanese input method

I am also a Japanese learner. I originally installed the original XP system and used my own Japanese input method, which is very easy to use. But recently, because of computer poisoning, I felt that the computer speed was too slow, so I reinstalled the system. Because I was impatient and didn't want to wait for a long installation process, I thought of the special version 5. 1(GHOST version) I got recently.

Try to install it. I've heard people say it's not safe before, and that there may be a back door or a virus or something. But I just like taking risks, hehe, besides, I don't have anything very important. I have a good habit of carving out what I think is good and important and backing up the data regularly. This ghost system is installed really quickly. It only takes about 4 minutes to copy the file, and then it can be restarted twice, which takes about 8 minutes before and after. Another advantage is that all commonly used drivers and software are available. What a bother! Thanks again to the author! )

It seems too far away!

Next, I entered the Japanese forum as usual. I just met a few minor problems in my study recently. I want to ask my friends to answer it. Strangely, after I added the input method, I could only enter Hiragana and Katakana. ! ! ! ! Press the space bar as usual, but no Chinese characters come out, only one line of hiragana and one line of katakana. At that time, I thought it might be because I didn't restart, and then I restarted the computer. I didn't expect it to work! What is the reason?

I checked it carefully and found that the OFFICE2003 that comes with the special edition of computer company 5. 1 is a simplified edition! ! I secretly laughed in my heart, and this little problem can still beat me! Sample! So I uninstalled OFFICE2003 and reinstalled OFFICE (to be on the safe side, I chose full installation instead of typical installation). After the restart, the problem has not been solved! ! ! !

Later, I borrowed my friend's office in 2003, and I wanted to try my luck again, but I still couldn't. No way, I asked several "experts" and they all said that they had never used Japanese input method and had never encountered such a problem. -Hum also "experts" this little problem will not! ! )

I really didn't fold it, so I had to search the internet and found that someone had the same problem as me! The person who just answered did not give a solution, but repeatedly explained how to use the Japanese input method that comes with xp. Grandpa, I've been using it for almost 2 years! ! It's just that Japanese hasn't improved at all, crying ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~)

I found that many of these people who posted replies used the Japanese input method that came with xp before, but they encountered such a problem after reinstalling the system. This made me realize that this problem should have nothing to do with OFFICE, but a system problem.

So I looked up a lot of information and found that many OEM versions of XP simplified some files and added some tools. Because the capacity of an installation disk can only be about 700M, many producers don't use Japanese input method at all, so it is likely to be deleted.

I checked and compared the sizes of different versions of the installation disk:

Computer company special edition 5. 1-680m (there are many commonly used software and drivers in it, which definitely exceeds 100M).

The original XP SP2-592m

I tried to find the relevant files of input method from the original system, but I couldn't find them (I graduated from English major and have only a little knowledge of computers, so don't forget to tell me what that expert knows! Thanks in advance)

Next, I tried to download the relevant input method files from the Internet (according to my judgment, I can only type Japanese pseudonyms, probably without a thesaurus), and found a lot, but it was useless. I also found it on Microsoft official website. Almost all of them are support files displayed in Japanese, and many of them can't be used under xp! ! ! !

So, I tried to search for relevant information on the Internet and found that Baidu knew.

Someone asked me a question similar to mine, which further verified my guess. At first, I also thought about reinstalling the original XP system (but considering the long wait and my persistent spirit of solving problems, I decided to repair it. For a user, reinstalling is the biggest failure when encountering problems. So I installed Japanese push-to-talk 4.0 first, because it has Chinese and Japanese input methods, so I am the first user for the time being, and I don't like invivo anyway! It is said that there are not many professional versions of Dr.eye, and the input method is still good. You can also try!

Later, I thought about whether I could copy the relevant documents on a computer with Japanese input method. So I first added the Japanese input method to my colleague's computer, and everything worked normally, so I searched the system folder for the relevant files of Japanese input method. Finally, there is an "ime" folder under C:\WINDOWS, which is 86.4M, but my computer only has 15.3M, so I closed all programs, copied the files from my colleague's computer to mine, reopened word, and found it successful! !

Finally, to sum up:

Please note that if there is a problem with the Japanese input method:

1) If your system is not the original XP, it is likely that the Japanese thesaurus file is gone. You can copy files from other computers in the original directory as I said.

2) Now I finally understand why everyone likes the original goods, hehe. I suggest you try to use the original XP. If you are using the OEM version, please read the relevant instructions carefully.

If you can't find this file and don't want to reinstall the system, you can contact me.
