-Appreciation of Peach Blossom Poems (1)
Wang chuanxue
Spring is the season of flowers and the world of flowers. When people mention spring, they will think of colorful peach blossoms. Because peach blossoms open in mid-spring, they are fragrant and delicious, and often become a symbol of the arrival of spring.
The blooming of peach blossoms announced the real arrival of spring. "February scenery, three spring peaches and plums" (Tang? Gao Jin's "The Pavilion for the Dark Sun Banquet"), "Peach blossoms outside the bamboo are three or two branches, and the duck prophet in the spring water heating" (Song? Su Shi's "Hui Chong Riverside Night Scene"), when there are three or two peach blossoms in the bamboo forest, it is when the river dissolves and the weather gets warmer, showing the vitality of spring. "Peach blossoms bloom first in warm spring, but people don't see it clearly" (Tang? Zhou Pu's "Peach Blossom"), spring is getting stronger and stronger, and peach blossoms are dotted with boundless spring scenery. How can this gorgeous color and bright breath not make people love it and make people eagerly watch it? In this way, peach blossom has quietly merged into the cultural blood of China people and become a spring complex in people's aesthetic vision.
In the ancient poems chanting peach blossoms, many of them praise the beauty and charm of peach blossoms positively. Such as the Tang Dynasty poet Wu Rong's "Peach Blossom":
The trees are full of red,
Thousands of branches are colorful and melt in spring.
Why should it become a Millennium reality?
Will show people how to make chemicals.
This poem compares a charming girl to a peach blossom and praises its beauty. The peach blossoms in the first two sentences are full of trees, bright, red and beautiful. Because of "full of trees" and "brilliant", the color of "red" is rich and warm. Peach blossoms are in full bloom, and thousands of trees are competing for each other. Just like Xia Hong, it is full of spring. Everything in spring seems to be melted by its delicate colors. The last two sentences lead to the poet's wish that peach blossoms will bear fruit and benefit mankind. The boastful language of "bloom is warm in spring, and ten thousand branches are colorful" vividly shows the beautiful scenery of peach blossoms to readers.
In the spring of March, when peach blossoms are in season, the trees are dyed with rouge and the branches are hung with Xia Hong. Peach blossom really occupies the spring scenery of the world;
A thousand thick incense trees are inclined,
A branch is dotted with clouds.
Since you don't hate the breeze,
It is this flower that occupies the spring.
This poem "Peach Blossom" by Bai Minzhong, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, describes that the peach blossoms in March are swaying in red, shining like clouds, looking at the breeze in the distance, and the spring is strong. Peach blossoms decorate the spring and become an irreplaceable protagonist on the spring stage.
The spring is bright, the peach blossoms are brilliant and full of vitality. Du Fu, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, wrote the peach blossom in front of the Yellowstone Pagoda in his poem "Seven Flowers Alone by the Riverside" (5), which was very affectionate:
The Yellowstone Pagoda is in front of the river.
Spring is lazy and sleepy in the breeze.
Peach blossoms are in full bloom,
Lovely crimson loves light red?
Peach blossoms bloom in clusters, not for others, but to show their beauty and bloom freely! Do you like dark red peach blossoms or light red peach blossoms? A fresh, happy, lively and interesting spring breath suddenly came to my face, full of fun of life. The phrase "lovely crimson loves pale red" expresses the poet's delight in the beauty of peach blossom with two words of love and two scarlet letters, and ends with a rhetorical tone, which is not only interesting, but also expands the aesthetic scope and strengthens the sense of beauty from oneself and others.
Peach blossoms grow mostly in the wild and even in mountains and streams, with strong vitality. Liu Changqing, a poet in Tang Dynasty, praised the poem Eight Miscellaneous Poems by Li Late Peach;
In April, at the bottom of the valley, peach blossoms are in a hurry.
Know more about the terrain, so the spring breeze is biased.
The poem says: Under the deep stream in April, there is a peach blossom burning like a flame. It knows its position is very low, so it tries to let the spring breeze deviate from its original direction to take care of itself. This is a high praise for the indomitable life in deep trouble, full of life passion and high-spirited spirit.
Bai Juyi, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, also praised the peach blossom in April in his poem Peach Blossom in Dalin Temple:
The world in April is full of beauty,
Peach blossoms in the mountain temple are in full bloom.
I hate that spring is nowhere to be found,
I don't know how it got like this.
The poet regarded peach blossom as the embodiment of spring, and was overjoyed to see peach blossom in the mountains in April, expressing his cherish and love for spring.
Shao Yong, a poet in the Northern Song Dynasty, wrote "Two-color Peach", which is also a masterpiece praising peach blossoms.
The pink color of the stone is good,
It's beautiful. It's different.
Suspected to be Gong Rui's twin sister,
Join hands to marry Dongfeng for a while.
Two-color peach is one of the varieties of peach, which has red and white flowers and opens side by side. This poem adopts personification technique, focuses on people's visual image, vividly reproduces the beautiful face of two-color peach, and reveals the poet's love for peach blossom.
Peach blossom is in full bloom, the color is lovely, the red is charming, the white is elegant and elegant, especially charming in the sun, gentle and lovely, beautiful and refined. In life, people often say that orchids are gentlemen with extraordinary integrity, chrysanthemums are hermits who are content with life, and plum blossoms are soldiers who have been tempered by frost. Then, peach blossom is a graceful and gorgeous beauty. It depends on the nature of peach blossoms, which are mostly similar to the feminine beauty of human women. Peach blossoms are brilliant and full of vitality. Its slightly exaggerated color, aroma and posture can give people a sense of life, surging with infinite vitality and vitality. Peach blossom's delicate and soft natural attributes are easily associated with energetic young women. Because of this, peach blossom has been used as a metaphor for beauty since ancient times. In The Book of Songs Nan Zhou, "Peach blossoms fly away, burning their splendor", and the charm of newly-married women is sung through peach blossoms. Xu Mao, a poet in the Southern Dynasties, once wrote "Fang Xian planted red powder to beat Su Su" ("Celebrate the peach tree in front of the house"), associating the bright peach blossom with red and white petals in front of him with the rouge and powder on his wife's face, expressing his strong yearning for his distant wife.
In the Tang Dynasty, many poems used peach blossoms to describe beauty. For example, Li Bai's "Long March": "Self-pity for more than fifteen, the color is peaches and plums." Wang Jian's Spring Comes: "Miss Di Qing dyed peach blossoms and her makeup was still red and wet." The poet uses peach blossoms to describe beautiful women, and reproduces the young and beautiful image of a young girl with youthful glow and rosy complexion.
Beauty is like a flower, young and beautiful, with a white face and a red face. Gorgeous and moving, pleasing to the eye. Therefore, people often describe the beauty of women as peach blossoms. "Willow leaves come to my eyebrows, peach blossoms blush" by Chen Ziliang, a poet in the Tang Dynasty (New Town Anle Palace), "Peach blossoms set each other off in red" by Cui Hu, a poet in the Tang Dynasty (titled Chengnan Village), "The dust is faint, the peach blossoms are red on both sides" by Jong Li, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, and "Peach blossoms on both sides, low frequency" by Wei Zhuang.
Cao Xueqin, a writer in Qing Dynasty, wrote a poem Peach Blossom in A Dream of Red Mansions:
What kind of rouge is bright,
The color of flowers, tears.
If people's tears are compared to peach blossoms,
Tears flow from long to charming.
Tears dry easily,
Tears dried up, spring withered, and flowers withered.
The whole poem personifies flowers and compares them with people. Poets compare people's tears to the charm of flowers, tears are easier to dry than the decay of flowers, and haggard people are better than haggard flowers. They interweave flowers with people, depicting a lonely and sentimental image of a weak girl, while peach blossoms become a symbolic portrayal of Lin Daiyu's pure and beautiful and poor life.
Some ancient poems sing about peach blossoms, not for peach blossoms, but to express their feelings. Cui Hu, a poet in the Tang Dynasty, is one of the most famous:
On this day last year, in this door,
Peach blossoms set each other off in red.
People don't know where to go,
Peach blossoms are still smiling in the spring breeze.
According to Bai Meng's Poems of Skills and Emotions, Cui Hu, a poet of the Tang Dynasty, went to Beijing to take the Jinshi Examination. Tomb-Sweeping Day that day, he went to the south of the city to play alone. When he saw a small house surrounded by peach blossoms, he knocked at the door and asked for a drink. A young woman brought water to Cuihu Lake. Her eyes looked at each other and she was very affectionate. Cui Hu didn't visit again after she left. The following year, on Qingming Festival, Cuihu revisited its old place, but the scenery remained the same, the door was locked and no one was there. Cui Hu was so disappointed that he wrote this poem on the door.
This poem takes "human face" and "peach blossom" as the main lines, and through the reflection and contrast between "last year" and "today", it expresses the poet's infinite disappointment with these two different experiences in a tortuous way. The vivid description of "peach blossoms set each other off in red" in the poem has become a famous sentence that people recite. In particular, the word "red" in the sentence shows that the rosy face of the former girl and the fiery red of the peach blossom complement each other, making the poet still feel happy and cheerful. The allusion of "peach blossom with a human face" was later quoted by many poets.
There are many poems praising love with peach blossom as the carrier. First look at Liu Yuxi's Nine Poems on Bamboo Branches;
Peach blossoms are full of flowers,
The spring water in the Shu River hits the mountain stream.
Bonuses can easily drop,
Water is as infinite as sorrow.
This poem is about the sadness in peach blossoms. This poem depicts the image of a peasant girl in love. Love brought her happiness as well as sadness. The peach blossoms in the mountains are bright and dazzling, but the blooming peach blossoms will eventually wither. The lover's heart is as short and easy to wither as a peach blossom, and the lover's change of heart causes the girl's deep sadness.
Re-look at five Poems of Thinking by Yuan Zhen, a poet in Tang Dynasty;
The mountain spring flows around the steps,
Ten thousand trees and peach blossoms reflect the small building.
I can't get up after reading Taoist books.
Comb your hair under the crystal curtain.
This poem was written by Yuan Zhen for his first love Cui Yingying. The first two sentences describe the quiet environment when they met, and the last two sentences describe their sweet love life. The colorful Peach Blossom makes pure love mellow as wine and sweet as honey.
