The lens of S70 is internally telescopic. When the lens cover is pushed up, the lens will be completely sucked into the fuselage. This lens adopts the "ultra-high refractive hemisphere" lens assembly technology, which can quickly reduce the size and speed of the lens.
The lens has 3.6 times optical zoom capability, which is equivalent to the focal length of 28- 100MM of the traditional 135 camera. The wide angle with the maximum aperture range of f 2.8-f 5.3 28mm is one of the biggest selling points of this camera. A shorter focal length can give you a wider and wider field of vision, which should be quite attractive to people who like to travel.
There is no doubt that S700 has full manual function, relatively compact size, wide-angle capability of 28MM and high explanatory power of 7 million pixels. It is indeed a stylish wide-angle model with good performance.
However, S70 also has the following disadvantages:
1. Only in full manual mode can the slow shutter of 1 sec be used;
2. The highest speed shutter cannot be used under the maximum aperture;
3.AIAF smart focusing has limitations.
Compared with S60, the number of pixels has only increased from 5 million to 7 million, and for consumers, 5 million pixels is enough. Higher pixels seem meaningless and will cost a lot of money. Ricoh's GX8 has 800W pixels, which has also dropped to the price of 3500. It seems that the price of S70 is not far away.

The liquid crystal display IXUS 40 uses a 2-inch LCD, but the pixels are only 1 18000, which is worse than the 2.5-inch LCD with more than 200,000 pixels used by Bisogni T 1 (data evaluation picture) and other models.
