Hippos are very fat and look very smooth, because they mainly live in tropical areas rich in aquatic plants and almost stay in the water during the day. When food is scarce, they will go ashore for food. Hippo is a social animal. Usually, there are more than a dozen animals moving together, sometimes there are hundreds. Usually, hippos are docile. As long as they are not provoked, they generally don't take the initiative to attack. The female hippos with cubs are very grumpy.

Survival in the wild:

In the wild, the easiest place to meet hippos is the Nile crocodile in Africa. Like hippopotamus, Nile crocodile lives in a river with water in tropical Africa. The maximum individual body length can reach 6 meters, the average body length is 3.7 meters, and the weight is 225- 1000 kg.

It is a tonnage carnivore. Nile crocodile's body structure makes it very strong, and its powerful tail can push it to dive into the water quickly. It is a very adaptable crocodile and can avoid the dry season by digging caves.
