In a narrow sense, corruption refers to the phenomenon of power conversion in which state public officials abuse their powers or deviate from their duties for special interests. Corruption is a social and historical phenomenon, which has existed since human beings entered the class society, not today; Corruption exists in all countries in the world today, and it is not unique to China. Corruption has both subjective and objective factors and environmental factors. To advocate anti-corruption, we should not only strengthen the legal system construction, but also strengthen the moral construction. Starting with the main factors of corruption, this paper analyzes the ideological roots of corruption and discusses the important significance and ways of moral cultivation to improve the self-discipline ability of national public officials in fighting corruption. The ideological root of corruption is decadent capitalist thought, which is the external cause of corruption. With the deepening of reform and opening-up, especially the development of information network technology, outstanding achievements of cultural civilization from all over the world have been rapidly introduced into China. At the same time, some decadent ideas and cultures of western capitalism have also taken the opportunity to enter. Various social thoughts, values and social consciousness have stirred up each other, which has obviously changed the concepts, values and behaviors of public officials in some countries, and money worship, hedonism and extreme individualism have grown. Money worship is the ideological root of the ugly phenomena such as power and money trading, bribery, corruption and bending the law. In some countries, public officials can't resist the temptation of money and become prisoners of money. Hedonism makes public officials in a few countries yearn for a dissolute and alcoholic lifestyle and eventually lead to crime; When individualism expands viciously, state officials who hold power will abuse power for personal gain and become sinners of the people. Decadent feudal thought is the historical cause of corruption. In China, the feudal society withdrew from the stage of social history, but the remnants of the feudal society still exist. The phenomena of official standard, privilege consciousness, power abuse, patriarchal clan system, nepotism and perverting the law inherent in feudal society are still deeply rooted in today's political and social life and become the historical reasons for corruption. Influenced by the idea of privilege and the idea of official standard, some national public officials believe that power can bring status, honor and money. When they are not in power, they strive for power, but when they have real power, they abuse it for personal gain. Under the influence of patriarchal clan system and nepotism, one person gets the word, the chicken and dog ascend to heaven, the father respects the son and the husband and wife are expensive. This idea still exists among public officials in some countries. The negative effect of market economy is the soil for breeding corrupt ideas. Judging from the negative effects of market economy, market economy is a free, competitive and interest-oriented economy, and its direct purpose is to maximize the interests of market participants. Once the principle of equivalent exchange in market economy enters political life, it will become a hidden rule in politics. Money, power and beauty may all become chips of equivalent exchange, leading to corrupt behaviors such as power and money trading, power and money trading and so on. The competition of market economy will make some people seek personal gain by unfair competition (treat guests and give gifts, pay bribes), thus breeding individualism that harms the public, fattens the private interests, smokes the heart for profit, and is mercenary; Market economy attaches great importance to profit, and it is easy to produce money worship, which makes public officials in some countries unilaterally pursue immediate interests, ignore long-term interests, only pay attention to short-term interests, ignore overall interests, only pay attention to local interests, ignore collective interests, and only pay attention to personal interests, resulting in all the ideas of "money first" The internal causes of corruption of public officials in some countries are the vacillation of ideals and beliefs, the variation of world outlook, outlook on life and values, and psychological imbalance. Ideals and beliefs play a guiding role in the course of life, and are the targets of people's thoughts and behaviors. Moral cultivation can inspire individuals to constantly surpass themselves, improve their personality, form self-discipline ability and realize the unity of individuals and society. Today, with the reform and opening up and the development of market economy, China's economy is still underdeveloped and people's lives are still not rich. Under the strong temptation of power, money and beauty, national public officials, especially leading cadres in party member, are required to remind themselves at all times, pay attention to strengthening moral cultivation and keep a clear head. Because the main factor is the basic cause of corruption, if the national public official himself is unprofitable, lustful and greedy, and has no idea of abusing power for personal gain, he can have a self-discipline ability, be upright, insist on using power for the people, attach importance to the people, benefit the people, be strict with himself, be honest and clean, then he can block the temptation of money and beauty in any environment. As a method of self-cultivation, "cautious independence" means sticking to one's own moral beliefs and consciously acting according to moral requirements without anyone knowing and external supervision, and will not act rashly because there is no supervision. From some current corruption cases, it can be seen that one of the important reasons why some people embark on the road of breaking the law and committing crimes is the lack of cautious independence. They have evil thoughts, and when they do bad things, they often take chances, always thinking that others can't see and can't see through them. As long as a person is lucky, his wrong thoughts can't be overcome in time, his wrong behavior can't be corrected in time, and he loses his sense of self-control, which will inevitably lead him astray and even lead him to the road of breaking the law and committing crimes. Examination and treatment. Introspection is to discover and find out your bad thoughts and habits in behavior through repeated inspections. Solidification is to overcome and correct, that is, to get rid of those found bad thoughts and habits. Judgment constitutes the cognitive premise of moral cultivation, and it is a desire of moral subjects to consciously abandon evil for good. Without this desire, moral cultivation is impossible. This method is put forward from the perspective of "restraining evil" to change the character of "evil". This method of self-cultivation is different from "inspection and treatment", and it focuses on the cultivation of "goodness".
