How to master the way of keeping in good health
The wonderful part of Laozi's Health Wisdom is selected from Nanrong, also known as Nangong Stone and Nangong Kuo, whose real name is Zi Rong. He is a disciple of Confucius. Nangong is a compound surname, originally named after the palace where it lived, and there was such a surname in the Western Zhou Dynasty. In ancient times, in addition to Nangong family, there were East Palace family, West Palace family and Gong Beishi family. Nanrong here is called by Chinese characters, and its birth and death are unknown. Nangong Poetry is one of Zhou Wuwang's "Ten Ministers" recorded in The Analects of Confucius Taibo. However, Nanrong paid attention to the concept of health preservation and won the appreciation of Confucius. Confucius thought it was very wise. So Confucius married his niece to him. This niece of Confucius is the daughter of his brother Meng Pi. "The Analects of Confucius" records: "The son is the south, and the state-owned Tao is not abolished; The state has no way to avoid punishment. " Marry his brother's son as his wife. On one occasion, Nan Rong visited Lao Dan and said, "My disciple Nan Rong, whose qualifications are dull and difficult to understand, came here for seven days and seven nights to consult a saint." Lao Dan asked, "What do you want?" "The way to keep fit." Lao Dan said: "The way to stay healthy is to stay calm and sober. A calm person washes away the dirt in his heart. The dirt in the heart, one is material desire, the other is knowing and seeking. If you want to ask for it, you will be calm; When you are calm, you will naturally move. When you move naturally, there is nothing in your heart, so you can't disturb your heart when you lie down, lie down, get up, walk or stop. Therefore, the road to learning the Tao should be both internal and external; He who gains the Tao forgets both inside and outside. Inside, the heart also; Outside, things are also. In addition to internal and external, internal desire, in addition to external temptation; Those who forget both inside and outside, forget their desires inside and forget things outside. Forgetting by dividing, integrating inside and outside, all belong to nature, so it reaches the Tao! Now, your obsession with learning Tao is also a desire. Get rid of the desire to seek Tao, then your heart will be quiet; If you are quiet, the road can be repaired! " Nan Rong listened and painstakingly asked for a way. Relieved, body and mind become cool, open-minded, calm and indifferent. So he thanked Lao Dan and said, "A word from your husband is better than ten years' training. I don't want to ask for directions now, and I hope to get medical insurance. " Lao Dan said, "The classic of keeping in good health should be nature. I don't know where to go, but I don't know what to do I curl up with things, go with the flow, move with yang, and be quiet with yin. If the water stops moving, it is as quiet as a mirror, and it should be ringing. This is also a health experience. " Nan Rong asked, "Is this a perfect state?" "No," said Lao Dan. This is the beginning of clearing the mind and entering nature. Enter the realm of perfection, live with animals without being humble, and enjoy with God without being expensive; Don't be unconventional, don't think about strategy, and don't worry about it; Come without knowing what you want and go without knowing what you want. "Nan Rong asked," Is this the way to the border? " Lao Dan said, "Not yet. Standing between heaven and earth, like a dead branch; The heart is in form, like a burnt leaf. In this way, the sun is like fire without feeling hot, the snow is falling without knowing cold, and the halberd can't hurt, and the tiger and leopard can't hurt. As a result, disaster does not come and happiness does not come. No happiness, no emotions. " The modern translation of Laozi's words is like this: "The way to preserve one's health lies in being calm, that is, washing away the dirt in one's heart." What is the dirt in his heart? One is the desire for material things, and the other is the desire for knowledge. If we get rid of desires and desires, our hearts will be calm. A calm heart, whether moving or static, is natural, and there is no concern in it. Therefore, sleep when you should, get up when you should, leave when you should, and stop when you should. Things outside can't disturb your inner peace. Therefore, the person who learns the way of keeping in good health lies in gradually eliminating the interference inside and outside the body and mind, and the person who masters the way of keeping in good health has no interference inside and outside the body and mind. Inside is the heart, outside is the thing. Removing the interference inside and outside the body and mind means removing the desire for knowledge, rejecting the temptation of foreign things, removing the interference from the beginning, and gradually reaching the realm of forgetting things. The integration of inside and outside is natural, thus achieving the way of health preservation. " Once, people praised Bian Que's medical skills as the best, but Bian Que declined, saying, "My medical skills are only the worst among the three brothers who practice medicine in our family." Everyone was surprised. Bian Que explained, "My eldest brother can prevent the disease before it happens, and my second brother can stop it from developing when it is not serious. I can only treat it when my condition is serious. The most brilliant medical skill lies in being able to prevent problems before they happen! "
