Bryophytes have appeared in the Middle Devonian for hundreds of millions of years, basically in the same paleontological zone as fish. Generally speaking, people generally think that bryophytes are a kind of transition from aquatic plants to terrestrial plants. Bryophytes are green autotrophic terrestrial plants. They are very small and generally have stems and leaves. Most of them grow in humid environment, usually on stone surface, soil surface, trunk or branch. Bryophytes have no vascular bundle structure, and their water transport capacity is not strong, which limits their size and height. It has false roots but no real roots, which is inferior in the plant kingdom.

Application of bryophytes in gardens: Bryophytes have unique luster, delicate texture, petite as velvet, green and evergreen, giving people the feeling of simplicity, elegance, purity, tranquility and natural harmony. As a new plant material, bryophytes are gradually favored by people and applied in gardens.
