Lushan Mountain, also known as Kuangshan and Kuanglu, is located in Lushan City, Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province. It is adjacent to Poyang Lake in Wuyuan in the east, Wangtengting Pavilion in Nanchang in the south, Beijing-Kowloon Railway in the west, and the Yangtze River in the north. It stands tall in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River and beside Poyang Lake, with east longitude11552'-1168' and north latitude 29 26'-29 4655. The mountain is oval, a typical horst-type fault-block mountain.
Lushan Mountain is famous in the world for its heroism, strangeness, danger and beauty, and it is known as "the first in the world for its vast beauty". Since ancient times, there have been 17 1 peaks, including 26 hills, 20 valleys, 6 caves 16 and 22 rocks. There are many rapids and waterfalls, including 22 waterfalls, streams 18 and lakes 14. The most famous Sandiequan Waterfall, with a drop of 1.55 meters, has the reputation of "less than Sandiequan, less than the true face of Lushan Mountain".
The river valley system in Lushan area is self-contained, each with Lushan as its source and flowing into rivers and lakes. The wide valley on the top of the mountain communicates through the action of river attack, and the V-shaped Gu Duo Waterfall falls into a deep canyon on the side of the mountain.
