1, soil selection
Lettuce is best planted in loose and fertile soil with good drainage, so as to avoid water accumulation and affect the growth of seeds. If you want seeds to emerge as soon as possible, you can add some humus to the soil, which is very beneficial to the growth of seeds.
Step 2 sow seeds
Lettuce seeds are small and light, so it is necessary to mix fine sand when sowing and stir them evenly in a container. When the seeds are sown on the seedbed, the soil cover is 0.5- 1 cm, and the germinated seeds will emerge quickly at a suitable temperature.
3. Seedling management
Lettuce seedlings should keep the soil moist and not too dry. When the seedlings grow to 2-3 true leaves, they can be thinned with a spacing of 5-8 cm.
Step 4 transplant
Lettuce can be transplanted when it grows to 5-6 real leaves. It needs to be watered once and then transplanted into a big pot with its roots. The distance between lettuce plants was15cm, and the result was 30cm. Water thoroughly and put it in the shade in summer to slow down the seedlings. After 1 week, the roots stand firm and the sunshine is normal.
5, fertilization
Lettuce can be fertilized once a week after transplanting, preferably with decomposed organic fertilizer. Two or four weeks after transplanting, organic fertilizer or water-soluble fertilizer with total nitrogen, total phosphorus and total potassium should be applied again, and fertilization should be stopped two weeks before harvesting. It is suggested that the imported water-soluble fertilizer with low salt and soft nutrition should be used to improve the quality and resist premature aging.
water
Lettuce should be watered once in the morning and once in the evening at high temperature, preferably with a small amount of water frequently, but it is necessary to avoid waterlogging. It is suitable to control water in the early stage of growth and keep the soil moist.
