Xinjiang Wushituoshganhe National Wetland Park is located in Wushi County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, with a total area of 30082.438+0 hectares.
Wushi County enjoys the reputation of "South of the Great Wall", "Half City, Half Mountain and Half City Spring" and "Ecological Pearl of Western China". The local water resources and wetland resources are rich, aquatic plants are abundant, vegetation is lush, ecological resources are unique and diverse, historical and cultural heritage is profound, and natural scenery is beautiful. The Tosh River originated in Kyrgyzstan and is one of the two tributaries of the Aksu River, which runs through Wushi County from west to east. The basin is dominated by rivers and swamps, with vast waters and abundant water resources. The wild seabuckthorn forest along the banks of the river is rich in wild animals, which is typical and representative of river wetlands in northwest China.
In order to fully protect and improve the ecological environment of Wushi County, Aksu River Basin and even Tarim River Basin, scientifically and rationally develop and utilize ecological resources, build the largest eco-tourism leisure resort in Xinjiang, create a "Damei Wushi Health Care Blessed Land", and promote the economic development of Wushi County. In May this year, Wushi County entrusted the Landscape Planning Engineering Design Institute of Xinjiang Academy of Forestry to compile the master plan of Xinjiang Tuoshiganhe National Wetland Park. The planned construction area of this wetland park is located in the Tuoshi River and its coastal areas in Wushi County, with a total area of 30082.7 1 hectare. The project area passes through six townships 1 towns in Wushi County, bordering Areli Town in Wensu County in the east and Aheqi County in Zhou Ke County in the west, in which the wetland area is 10634.46 hectares, including 9948.06 hectares of permanent rivers and seasonal rivers. The project is constructed in three phases, with a construction period of 8 years, from 20 14 to 20 16, from 20 17 to 20 19, and from 2020 to 202 1. According to the construction content, eight projects will be completed, including protection project, wetland restoration and reconstruction project, popular science education project, scientific research monitoring project, tourism service facilities project, infrastructure construction, disaster prevention and mitigation project investment, and community management and support project. The funds come from national and local financial input and channel financing of social enterprises.
