2. Implement the principle of paying equal attention to both Chinese and Western medicine, support mutual respect, mutual learning, mutual supplement and coordinated development of Chinese and Western medicine, learn from modern science and technology, and promote theoretical and practical innovation of Chinese medicine.
Legal basis: Chinese Medicine Law of People's Republic of China (PRC).
Article 1 In order to inherit and carry forward Chinese medicine, safeguard and promote the development of Chinese medicine, and safeguard people's health, these Regulations are formulated in accordance with the Chinese Medicine Law of People's Republic of China (PRC) and relevant laws and regulations.
Article 15 A person who studies Chinese medicine as an apprentice or obtains medical skills and expertise through years of practice shall be recommended by two or more Chinese medicine doctors, and be qualified as a Chinese medicine doctor after passing the examination of practical skills and effects organized by the provincial department in charge of Chinese medicine. This means that people who meet the above conditions can directly obtain the qualification of doctors after passing the exam without having to take the exam again. According to the Law on Medical Practitioners
Article 11 The above-mentioned personnel have only obtained the qualification to take the examination of practicing doctors or assistant practicing doctors, and will not be unable to register for the examination because they do not have corresponding academic qualifications and degree certificates. In addition, if the above-mentioned personnel do not comply with the Law on Medical Practitioners, they can "practice medicine individually within the registered scope of practice after registering according to the examination contents".
Nineteenth "five years of practice in medical, preventive and health care institutions after registration" is a prerequisite. To be fair, the general practitioner qualification examination is quite harsh. College students need to graduate from college and work for one year before they can apply for the exam. Moreover, the examination subjects are numerous and complex, and the pass rate is less than 30%. Those with college education can only apply for practicing assistant doctors first.
