According to historical records, Sun Simiao was born in 58 1 year and died in 682 at the age of 102. This is clearly recorded in history. However, there are different opinions. According to records, Sun Simiao died in the first year of Yongchun (AD 682), but in the Northern Zhou Dynasty, Du Zeng, director of Luoyang, met him and praised him as a "child prodigy". Du died in AD 557, so some people calculated that Sun Simiao was born in AD 54 1 year, and by AD 682, he lived 1465433.
Of course, this statement is only a legend, and its credibility is relatively low. According to most historical records, Sun Simiao died in 682, but there are several different opinions about his birth time.
The first one was born at 58 1. According to Ji Xiaolan in Qing Dynasty, he said in the "Summary of Sikuquanshu". Sun Simiao was born in Xin Chou (AD 58 1) in the first year of Emperor Wen of Sui Dynasty and died in Renwu (AD 682) in the first year of Yongchun, Tang Gaozong, at the age of 102.
The second theory is that he was born before 560 AD. In A Brief History of China Medicine, Federway speculated that Sun Simiao had passed the age of weak crown at least in 578-579. Therefore, Sun Shi should have been born before 560 AD, and his death date should be over 120 years old.
There is also a saying that he was born in 54 1 year, and the reason here is the above. But according to the age of Sun Simiao and his son Sun Xing, this speculation was overturned.
