Xinjiang Kuqa Grand Canyon National Geopark is a national geological park.

Open the map of the world, and you can see the largest land on earth, that is Eurasia. In the northeast corner of the hinterland of this continent, there is the world-famous ancient Western Region, and in the middle of the Western Region, there is the ancient Qiuci country, in which the Kashkkuche Grand Canyon National Geopark is located.

Xinjiang Kuqa Grand Canyon National Geopark borders Tianshan Mountain in the north and Tarim Basin in the south, with a total area of 502 square kilometers. It consists of Longchi Scenic Spot in the north, Mysterious Grand Canyon Scenic Spot in Tianshan Mountain in the middle and Quletage Mountain Scenic Spot in the south. The three scenic spots are distributed along the Kuqa Valley, which has become a major feature of the park.

Humans have long recognized and used some favorable terrain. Kuqa Valley is such a valley bearing human history and civilization, and it is full of the culture of Kuqa, an ancient country. The area along this valley is also a place full of geoscience resources research.

Xinjiang Kuqa Grand Canyon National Geopark is characterized by Kuqa landform, Quaternary glacial remains, geological profiles, volcanic peaks, ancient smelting sites, ancient Qiuci culture and Uygur customs. It is a large-scale comprehensive tourist destination with the main functions of sightseeing Kuqa landform, experiencing Qiuci culture, Uygur customs, religious pilgrimage, scientific investigation, leisure and vacation, and health and fitness in arid areas.

The landscape features of the park are typical, rare and highly ornamental in the arid mountainous areas in the hinterland of Eurasia. It is an important area to study the Tianshan tectonic belt in Xinjiang, and even the uplift, environmental changes and natural resources of Tianshan Mountain. It is also a gathering place of western civilization and a bright pearl on the ancient Silk Road.
