The weight of water-stable material is related to its density. The mixture ratio of water-stable materials should be tested in the laboratory in advance to determine the cement content and the proportion of coarse and fine aggregates, and at the same time determine the maximum dry density, so as to calculate the weight of water-stable materials.

Water-stabilized material, namely cement-stabilized material, refers to the mixture of cement and water mixed evenly in loose soil, gravel or other aggregates. After paving, rolling and curing, this mixture can be used as the base or subbase of pavement.

Precautions:

Mix enough cement and water in crushed or original loose soil. After compaction and maintenance, when the compressive strength of the mixture obtained by mixing meets the specified requirements, the mixture obtained by stabilizing fine-grained soil with cement meets the requirements, which depends on the type of soil used.

The mixture obtained from cement stabilized medium-grained soil and coarse-grained soil meets the requirements in strength, which depends on the raw materials used, and can be called cement macadam, cement gravel and so on.
