White crane taro is native to tropical America. I like high temperature, humidity and semi-cloudy environment.
White crane taro has large leaves and is sensitive to humidity. It is hot in summer, and when it is dry in autumn, it is necessary to spray more water to ensure that the air humidity is above 50%, which is beneficial to the growth of leaves. When dried at high temperature, leaves tend to curl, become smaller, wither and fall off, and the flowering period is shortened.
White crane taro is afraid of strong light, and it is shaded by 60% ~ 70% in summer, but it is not easy to bloom because of insufficient light for a long time.
Soil is fertile loam rich in humus.
Propagation by ramets: May-June is the best. Take the whole plant out of the pot, cut off the roots from the base of the cluster, each cluster has at least 3 ~ 4 leaves, and put it in the shade after planting.
2. On the basis of understanding the above basic characteristics, you should know that white crane taro is not an easy hydroponic plant. The hydroponic varieties bought by flower shops are basically only enough for plants to grow for one season, and the original biological characteristics of plants are disrupted, so it is difficult to cultivate them for a long time. This reason is not difficult for you to think of.
If you really like this kind, the rescue method is: take it out of the water, rinse it with clear water and plant it in clean yellow sand. If you plant it now, it will return to normal and sprout at the end of next spring. Keep it in the shade, and don't apply any fertilizer before the end of spring. Thoroughly dry and water, and spray water once every 2-3 days.
4. As a taro plant, it is not difficult to maintain. And most of them are suitable for hydroponics. Next year, you can refer to the above method, transplant some seedlings and then insert them in water, just use clean water. You can also go around some plant areas and find a favorite variety. Ask the gardener for a faucet. Such a naturally growing plant has strong naturalness and is most suitable for hydroponics.
There is a arrowhead taro in my photo album. It's been in the bottle for four or five years, and it looks good. Welcome everyone to have a look.
