Soak in pure soft water, purified water or boiled water. Soaking in cold water, warm water or even hot water will destroy the nutrients of bird's nest. Avoid soaking in tap water. No matter how serious the bleaching powder and chlorine in tap water are, tap water or hard water will affect the hair of bird's nest.
