1, Shapotou National Nature Reserve, Ningxia
Shapotou National Nature Reserve in Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region is located at the southeast edge of Tengger Desert in the west of zhongwei, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region. It starts from Erdaogou South Forest Protection Room in the east, reaches Toudaodun in the west, connects Tengger Desert in the north and the Yellow River in the south. It is about 38km long and 5km wide, with an altitude of 1, 300- 1, 500m, with a total area of 4,599.3 hectares, accounting for 3% of the total land area of zhongwei.
2. Tengger Desert Wetland
Tengger Desert Wetland Scenic Area is located at the southeast edge of Tengger Desert, 8 kilometers away from the center of zhongwei, Ningxia. Covering an area of 22 square kilometers, with a water area of 1000 mu, it is a desert eco-wetland tourist scenic spot integrating eco-sightseeing, leisure vacation, aquaculture, grassland horse racing, hot spring health preservation and desert golf.
3. Sikouzi
Sikouzi is a natural scenic tourist area that combines danger, concealment, strangeness and uniqueness. It was called Beihai in ancient times. In the south, it is surrounded by Xiangshan Mountain. In ancient times, it was the throat of Guyuan, Pingliang and Xi 'an. It is adjacent to Weining Plain in the north, Yinchuan, the ancient capital of Xixia in the east, and Shapotou, a tourist resort in the west. Zhongwei Sikouzi Scenic Area covers an area of 18 square kilometers, which consists of two geological landforms and is divided into two scenic spots.
4. Zhongwei Gaomiao
Located in the north of zhongwei, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, Zhongwei High Temple is built on a high platform connected with the city wall (including the security temple under the high platform). It is said that it was built in the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty (1403- 1424) and has been rebuilt for several generations. By the Qing dynasty, it had become a large-scale ancient building complex, showing the style of ancient buildings in Ningxia. It is as famous as the "desert wonder" and is one of the two major landscapes in Zhongwei.
5. Shikong Temple Grottoes
Shikong Temple Grottoes are located at the south foot of Shuanglong Mountain in the northwest of Shikong Town, Zhongning County. Shuanglong Mountain, also known as the Big Buddha Temple, was called Shikong Mountain in ancient times, and the stone wall stands on one side of Shandong, which is suitable for grotto sculpture. There used to be the Giant Buddha Cave, Wanfo Temple, Guanyin Cave and Lingguang Cave in Bai Zi, but now all the caves except Wanfo Temple are buried by quicksand.
