Wudang Mountain, also known as Taihe Mountain, is located in the south of Shiyan City, Hubei Province. The earliest temple on Wudang Mountain was built in the Tang Dynasty. During the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, after Ming Chengzu built the Forbidden City in Beijing, Guo Jin, assistant minister of the Ministry of Industry, led his original team into Wudang Mountain, building 7 palaces, 2 temples, 36 temples and 72 cliff temples. Wudang Mountain is famous for its magnificent architectural scale.
2. Danjiangkou Reservoir Scenic Area
Danjiang Dam is located in danjiangkou city City, 800 meters downstream of the intersection of Hanjiang River and its tributaries. The hydraulic structure of the project consists of concrete dam, power station, ship lift system and two water diversion channels 30 kilometers upstream. It is a large-scale water conservancy project designed, constructed and managed by China after the founding of New China, which integrates power generation, irrigation, shipping and aquaculture. It is not only a key project to harness and develop the Hanjiang River.
3. Nuwa Mountain Scenic Area
Shiyan Zhushan Nuwa Mountain Scenic Area is located in Baofeng Town, which is 180 km away from Shiyan City, and the 305 provincial highway runs through the town from east to west. There are 22 peaks in Nuwa Mountain Scenic Area, the main peak is 900 meters above sea level, and the Nuwa altar is built on the main peak, and other peaks are far apart. It is the land where Nu Wa made man out of soil, which is recognized in Kangxi Dictionary and China Mythological Dictionary.
4. Yunxi Longtan River Tourist Area
Located in Yangwei Town, Yunxi County, at the junction of two provinces (Hubei and Shaanxi) and three counties (Yunxi, Yunyang and Baihe). The scenic spot is 32 kilometers long from east to west, 2 kilometers wide from north to south and covers an area of 64 square kilometers. It is closely connected with Xiangyu Railway, Laobai Highway and Hanjiang Waterway, and the three railway stations of Baihe, Hujiaying and Jiangjunhe face the scenic spot.
5. Wulongjiang Scenic Area
Wulonghe Scenic Area is located at the Yunxi exit of Shiman Expressway,18km away. It is a national four-level tourist area, a national scenic spot and a national natural forest protection area.
