Surprise of Baolong Art Museum
Last September, as part of my retirement plan, I went to Minhang Museum. In all fairness, the exhibition content of the museum is very good, with three long exhibitions (700 years of Shanghai, Maqiao culture and national musical instruments) and one temporary exhibition (jade). The hardware construction of the museum, including the building, is first-class. It can be seen that in order to improve people's cultural literacy and promote the inheritance and development of excellent culture, Shanghai has made great efforts in cultural construction. But as far as the feeling of the day is concerned, there are too few people! Other reasons can't be discussed, but it has something to do with the fact that the museum is not very close to the people.

Out of the museum, I saw the nearby Baolong Art Museum. Since I'm here, I might as well go in and have a look. I didn't know that I had a great surprise and enjoyed a feast where China's top painting and calligraphy art gathered.

Baolong Art Museum is a private art museum, located at No.3055, Cao Bao Road, Minhang District, next to Minhang Cultural Park, and officially opened on 20171.08. Baolong Art Museum aims at "promoting the essence of traditional culture and promoting the development of contemporary art". As the highlight of the art museum, the collection exhibition of "Hundred Rivers Gathering" in the library building is a permanent exhibition of Baolong. It is rumored that the library was named by Xu Jiankang (Jinjiang, Fujian, chairman of the board of directors of Baolong Group) in memory of his father Xu, and it is also the house number of Baolong Library. Many years ago, Xu Jiankang began to like culture and art, especially China's paintings and calligraphy, and began to collect them. Up to now, its collection covers the representative works of artists from various regions and schools in China in the past century. It is said that this exhibition is only a part of the collection, but it is very gratifying to see the works of many top artists in China, as well as the artist's life, work creation and collection background.
