The tourist area of Laozi's hometown in Luyi County is a comprehensive tourist area integrating history, culture, natural customs, leisure and health with the birth and growth of Laozi, a great thinker in ancient China and a world-famous historical and cultural celebrity, as well as the cultural relics left by later generations' sacrificial activities, other famous historical sites and cultural landscapes around and unique natural landscapes in the region. In 2007, it was approved as a 4A-level scenic spot by the National Tourism Administration.
Second, Laojuntai
Located in the northeast corner of Luyi County. Built in memory of Laozi. According to the Records of Luyi County in Guangxu of Qing Dynasty, "Taiqing altar was built in Tianbao in the second year (734). Wenchang Palace is recorded in Taiwan Province. " The platform is13m high, which is a high-altar-shaped ancient building built by ancient big bricks and surrounded by 14 plane. It is cylindrical and angular, with a top area of 765 square meters and a slightly larger bottom area.
Legend has it that Laozi became immortal by practicing Taoism and soared here, hence the name "Ascending to Sendai". There are 32 floors of bluestone steps under the mountain gate, and the floor in front of the main hall is exactly 33 floors, which is just in line with Laozi's theory of rising to 33 floors. The entrance to Laojuntai Mountain is the main hall, with 3 rooms wide and 3 rooms deep. It is a hard-mountain building in Qing Dynasty, with one hall to the west. Close 13 cypress trees, lush, cool all year round, birds and flowers. The audience is sparkling, misty and pleasant.
Third, Taiqing Palace
Located in the northeast corner of Taiqing Palace, 5 kilometers east of Luyi County, Zhoukou City, it is the birthplace of Laozi and a temple dedicated to Laozi. During the period of 1997, archaeologists excavated a large-scale cultural relic group in Taiqing Palace, including Longshan cultural site, tombs of the Western Zhou Dynasty, rammed earth foundation site of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty, large-scale Makeng, architectural foundation site of the Tang and Song Dynasties, inscriptions and buildings in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, etc. The site has an early age, a large span, well-preserved, rich cultural connotation and high value. There are mainly Jiubujing, Taijitang, Three Notre Dame Cathedral, Moon Well, Sun Moon Lake and other attractions.
