Where is the origin of Agaricus blazei Murill?
Agaricus blazei is native to the grassland around Sao Paulo in southeastern Brazil, and also distributed in Florida, southern California plain and parts of Peru in the United States. In Brazil, wild Agaricus blazei mainly occurs from summer to early autumn. Agaricus blazei Murill is a saprophytic fungus with clustered or solitary fruiting bodies.
