Can the lease contract of laboratory instruments be indefinite?
An indefinite lease contract is valid, and it is an indefinite lease contract. The so-called indefinite lease refers to a lease in which the parties have not clearly agreed and the lease term cannot be determined according to law. For indefinite lease, because there is no time limit, the law gives either party the right to terminate the contract. In other words, not only the lessor has the right to terminate the indefinite lease contract at any time, but also the lessee has the right to terminate the lease relationship at any time.

Legal basis: Article 706 of the Civil Code of People's Republic of China (PRC). If the parties fail to go through the registration and filing procedures of the lease contract in accordance with the provisions of laws and administrative regulations, the validity of the contract will not be affected.

Article 707 of the Civil Code of People's Republic of China (PRC) stipulates that if the lease term exceeds six months, it shall be in written form. If the parties fail to determine the lease term in writing, it shall be regarded as an indefinite lease.
