Junshan Scenic Area Introduction:
When Junshan was an island in the sea, it was said that it was once the place where the king of Qin stationed troops. Because it looked like a hidden image, it was also called Xiangshan. Overlooking the military mountain, mountains and rivers depend on each other, forming eight diagrams.
In the Ming Dynasty, Shanxi monk Fakong stationed in Xijun Mountain and founded Putuo Buddhist Temple, and the title list of General Langshan came out. Dong Qichang, a famous calligrapher, wrote the Inscription of Putuo Courtyard in Junshan, arguing that compared with Putuo Mountain in Zhejiang, it "does not reduce the true colors of Luo family". There are more than 100 temples and banquet halls, which used to be a Buddhist resort in the southeast of China. Monuments on the mountain include: Yanzhen Cave, Baiyun Spring, Sixian Ancestral Temple, Baogong Temple, Dong Qichang Inscription and the earliest private meteorological station in China history. After the reconstruction, Putuo Bieyuan, which faces south, is based on trapezoidal structure. Tong Yuan Hall is dedicated to Guanyin Bodhisattva. Yuguanyin Building is dedicated to the largest statue of Yuguanyin in the world. There are 33 Guanyin stone statues painted on the promenade on both sides of the courtyard, where the charming Buddhist Guanyin culture can be concentrated and fully expressed. Dozens of new landscapes have been built, such as the scenic archway, the first Guanyin Bottle in China, Daguan Waterfall, the viewing gallery, Wangjiangtai and Xiaoxiang Pavilion. , and the green streams and lush trees.
In the later development of the scenic spot, efforts will be made to build the "Oriental Health Culture Holy Land"-China Health Park. Relying on the natural scenery of Junshan and the charm of rivers and seas, combined with Nantong's reputation as "the hometown of longevity in China", and carrying forward the essence of China's long-standing Confucianism, Taoism, post road, folk customs and folk health-keeping culture, Junshan scenic spot in the future will surely become a wonderful flower in East China's tourism sector.
