Because the child's skin is tender, the technique should be gentle and the strength should be stable. Preparation procedure before massage, using massage oil (lubrication) or water (lubrication or cooling).

Although there are eight manipulations: massage, pinching, pushing, moving and shaking, these manipulations are different according to different parts.

acupuncture point

The acupuncture points commonly used in children's massage are mainly point-shaped, line-shaped and plane-shaped. Different from adults, children massage specific acupoints, focusing on the arms, especially the hands, so there is a saying that "children's hundreds of pulses converge in two palms". Abdomen, back and limbs also have acupoints for children to massage. Here are three massage methods for common diseases of infants:

Acupoint massage for anorexia and dyspepsia in children;

Acupoint A: Banmen (thenar part of the palm), Zhongwan (4 inches above the umbilicus) and Zusanli (3 inches below the external knee).

B operation: plate door: about 200 ~ 400 times,

Moxibustion method: Moxibustion on acupoints with fingertips or palm roots for about 2-5 minutes.

Moxibustion: Moxibustion with palm or four fingers, about 5 ~ 10 minutes.

Press Zusanli with your thumb for about 1 ~ 3 minutes.

C indications: loss of appetite, weakness of limbs, stagnation, diarrhea, abdominal distension, etc.

Acupoint massage and massage methods for children with wind-heat cold;

Acupoint A: Lung Meridian, Tianhe, Dazhui, Sacrococcygeal and Jianjing.

Operation B: Qingfei Meridian: 300 times, Qingtianhe 100 times.

Push Tianhe: Push the belly of the first and second fingers from the wrist to the elbow, about 100 ~ 500 times.

Press and knead Dazhui point 1 ~ 3 minutes.

Rub the sacrococcygeal part horizontally with the palm of your hand, with heat penetration as the degree.

Pat the shoulder well: 3 ~ 5 times.

Indications: fever, irritability, thirst, sores on the mouth and tongue, flushed face due to convulsion, stuffy nose, yellow nose, cough and yellow phlegm.
