How to maintain concrete at high temperature and low temperature?
Because the hydration heat of mass concrete is relatively large, a lot of heat will be released during hydration, and the central temperature can reach 70-80 degrees. After concrete is poured, only plastic film and quilt are covered. Because of the high temperature, the water on the outer surface of concrete is easy to evaporate. Water can be used for maintenance, but cold water is not suitable, especially after the surface temperature rises. Ensure that the temperature difference between inside and outside does not exceed 25 degrees, and do a good job of heat preservation and moisture preservation immediately after concrete pouring. Understand the hydration heat time of cement, and slowly replenish water in the intense stage of hydration heat. In addition to covering and watering, mass concrete also needs to be cured by burying water cooling pipes in volume distribution when necessary, so as to reduce the temperature difference between the inside and outside of concrete.

In non-winter construction, the maintenance of mass concrete is to prevent temperature cracks first, and generally adopts sprinkler maintenance.

In winter construction, in order to make concrete reach a certain strength as soon as possible, various measures such as admixture combined with heat storage and curing are adopted (admixture generally uses water reducer and early strength agent, etc.). ); There are heat storage curing, steam curing and electric heating curing)

See Construction of High-rise Buildings for details. In winter construction, low temperature is mainly for heat preservation and curing to prevent concrete from freezing, and antifreeze can be added to make concrete reach the critical strength of freezing as soon as possible.
