How to raise the big gray orchid?
Pay attention to the following points when raising orchids:

Lighting: Cymbidium likes bright scattered light and avoids direct glare. It should be placed in a well-ventilated place with sufficient scattered light. Shading should be provided in summer, and light should be increased in winter to promote flower bud differentiation.

Temperature: The growth temperature of Cymbidium hybridum is between 18-25℃, and the night temperature shall not be lower than 10℃. It should be kept above 5℃ in winter to prevent freezing injury.

Humidity: Cymbidium hybridum likes high air humidity, which can be increased by spraying, using a humidifier or placing a basin indoors.

Watering: The watering of Cymbidium hybridum should be based on the degree of dryness and wetness of the soil. When the soil surface is dry, it should be watered thoroughly to avoid root rot caused by accumulated water. In winter, we should reduce the number of watering and keep the soil slightly wet.

Fertilizer: apply diluted compound fertilizer once a month in the growing season (spring and autumn) to provide adequate nutrition. Fertilization should be reduced when the growth is slow in winter.

Ventilation: Good air circulation is also important for the growth of Cymbidium hybridum, but direct cold air blowing should be avoided.

Pest control: regularly check whether there are pests and diseases in Cymbidium hybridum and deal with them in time. When using pesticides, it is necessary to operate in accordance with relevant national regulations and safety standards to ensure product safety.

Change pots: Change pots every 2-3 years, choose a new pot with good air permeability, and use well-drained culture soil, such as special soil for orchids.

Flowering period management: properly reduce watering during flowering period to avoid flowers falling off due to excessive water. At the same time, keep proper temperature and humidity to prolong the flowering period.

Through reasonable maintenance and management, Cymbidium hybridum can not only successfully spend the flowering period, but also continue to grow and maintain a good state after flowering.
