Without Taoism's naturalism and happy philosophy, the life of China people would be too heavy, rigid and uninteresting. Buddhist philosophy teaches China people to understand and tolerate with extraordinary endurance, to cross over with their compassion, their asceticism and their will, and to save those who are caught in endless troubles and pains due to greed, hatred and delusion. With the wisdom of Buddhism, China people understand what is deep, what is fearless, and what is "heaven and earth are the only ones".
Note: The author's writing is incisive, concisely expounding their respective characteristics and the cultivation of China's national character. Four or two dollars lifted a corner of the Three Religions, which was once mysterious and unspeakable in my eyes, and made me full of confidence before studying.
Confucianism, in the process of "ousting hundreds of schools and respecting Confucianism alone" in history, shoulders the banner of educating the people and rejuvenating the country and ensuring the country. After thousands of years of wind and rain, Cheng Zhu's final Neo-Confucianism reached its peak. However, the glory of the kingly way of home country can't resist the stigma of "the doctrine of the mean" and cannibalism, so that it took me a long time to write a few famous words about education.
Taoism is very mysterious. Seeing the story of Lao Tzu's wife's death and drum music, reading Zhuang Zhou's dream butterfly and carefree travel, I often get confused. Although truth often appears in reference books and notes, I still don't understand its meaning and find it mysterious.
In fact, what impressed me the most was Buddhism, such as Guanyin Bodhisattva, burning incense to worship Buddha and praying in temples during Chinese New Year holidays. I wonder how deep it is. Generally speaking, it has the same function as the wishing pool, except to worship God and ask for something.
Looking back, I have been a student for at least thirteen years, but I know very little about the philosophy of our ancestors, which makes me sigh. However, from the author's short sentences, I feel so strange and familiar. Perhaps this "knowledge" has infiltrated into my blood with my growing environment and people around me. There is no complete and systematic written theory, but everything is being practiced. I know the Confucian "benevolence and righteousness", being kind, being loyal and treating others as needed; I know the "Tao" of Taoism and understand that life should be content; I know the "practice" of Buddhism, and my happiness and sadness are empty. I am merciful and put down the butcher knife to become a Buddha.
The author said, cultivate one's morality with Confucianism, preserve one's health with Taoism and cultivate one's mind with Buddhism, telling us to be neutral, natural and clean. I think if we can do this, we will have a peaceful life.
