China is a country with many lakes, among which there are more than 2,800 natural lakes above 1 km2, with a total area of 756 10/0km2, accounting for 0.8% of the national total area. The water storage capacity of the lake is 7.51100 million cubic meters. In addition to natural lakes, there are tens of thousands of artificial reservoirs.
Freshwater lake is the main outflow area in China, accounting for 45% of the total area of lakes in China. Saltwater lake and salt lake are the main inland areas, accounting for 55% of the total area of lakes in China. Lakes in China are widely distributed and relatively concentrated. According to the causes and hydrological changes, China can be divided into five great lakes.
1. The lake area in the eastern plain lake area is 23,430 square kilometers, accounting for about 3 1% of the national lake area. It is the area with the highest density of lakes in China and the largest area of freshwater lakes in China. The five famous freshwater lakes in China, Poyang Lake, Dongting Lake, Taihu Lake, Hongze Lake and Chaohu Lake, are all located here. Most lakes in this area belong to river moraine and ocean moraine. Lakes and rivers in this area are inextricably linked, and most lakes are connected with rivers. Therefore, the hydrological characteristics of the lake are very similar to those of related rivers.
2. The lakes in the eastern plains and mountainous areas cover an area of 4,340 square kilometers, accounting for 5.7% of the national lake area. The lake is characterized by shallow water and high salt content, which is called "Paozi" locally. The main lakes in this area are Wudalianchi in the north of Songnen Plain, Tianchi in Baitou Mountain of Changbai Mountain, Xingkai Lake on the Sino-Soviet border, etc.
3. The lake area in Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau is 1 100 square kilometers, accounting for 1.4% of the national lake area, and the lake water reserves are 24 billion cubic meters, accounting for 1 1.2% of the national total fresh water reserves. Most of the lakes in this area belong to structural lakes and karst lakes. Such as Dianchi Lake and Fuxian Lake.
4. Meng Xin Plateau Lake area is distributed in arid and semi-arid areas of China. The lake covers an area of 8670 square kilometers, accounting for 1 1.5% of the national lake area. The lake area is not small, but the fresh water reserves are small. The total reserve of lake water is 76 billion cubic meters, of which fresh water is only 2 billion cubic meters, accounting for 0.9% of the total fresh water of lakes in China; The formation of lakes in this area is mostly related to wind erosion and wind accumulation. Due to the influence of arid climate, lakes are shallow and highly mineralized, mostly saltwater lakes and salt lakes, and the lake surface and lake shape are changeable.
5. The area of lakes in Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is 36,560 square kilometers, accounting for 48.4% of the national lake area, with a storage capacity of 546 billion cubic meters, including 88 billion cubic meters of fresh water, accounting for 40.9% of the total area of fresh water lakes in China. The density of the lake is second only to the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, and the lake is over 4000 meters above sea level. It is the highest altitude and the largest plateau lake group and lake in the world, which is mainly replenished by glaciers and snow melt water. Due to the dry climate,
There is a salt lake in Yuncheng, Shanxi ... The Great Lakes have no Shanxi.
