How many people are aware of the harm of rice?
What is rice? It is the staple food for three meals a day and the most basic food for our survival. However, who ever thought that the rice we eat bowl by bowl every day is actually the king of junk food? Scary, huh? Indeed, it's terrible! However, it is no exaggeration! Rice contains little protein, fat, vitamins and minerals-only starch, only sugar! According to the World Health Organization's definition of junk food: high sugar, high calorie, low protein, low vitamins, low minerals and low fiber! White rice is the food that meets the junk food standard best! Its blood sugar index is as high as 87, which is as dangerous as potato chips! Even the sugar content of millet, brown rice and black rice can not be ignored. 100g The sugar content of sweet potato is only 27g! 100g potato has a sugar content of 17g, 100g watermelon has a sugar content of 8g, and 100g cantaloupe has a sugar content of 7g, but the sugar content per 100g cereal exceeds 76g! Many diabetics are wrongly told not to eat fruit, but they eat white rice bowl after bowl unscrupulously-equivalent to a bowl of sugar! Sad! Sugar is the only nutrient that cancer cells like! Without sugar, cancer cells will starve to death! But in our country, from the health authorities to all kinds of health experts, few people pay attention to this obvious fact! This terrible fact is devouring the health of more and more people, causing a large number of patients, causing the medical department to be overwhelmed and making medical reform difficult! Protein, fat, vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, water and fiber are one of the seven nutrients required by the human body announced by the World Health Organization. For most people in China, only carbohydrates, that is, sugar, are most likely to cause excess, and only carbohydrates (sugar) are the most indispensable in people's lives. The source of sugar is extremely rich, and almost everything they eat contains sugar. The human body only needs 50 grams of carbohydrates every day, and manual workers only need 100 grams (two or two), which means three meals a day, all day! Such a small amount can be satisfied from vegetables, fruits and beans. But China people, even children, always eat half a catty of rice, even eight ounces (400g)! Eat no less than 600 -800 grams of rice every day, and the sugar intake is ten times as much as the body needs! Those old people who have already stopped working and retired at home have reduced their calorie needs a lot, but they still live on rice and flour! Every day, as time goes by, finally, can you not have diabetes? Excessive sugar, if not left in the blood to cause diabetes, must be converted into fat and left in subcutaneous tissue or blood, causing fat to block blood vessels and lead to obesity or heart disease. A balanced diet, for most people in China, is a script in a book, which has nothing to do with yourself! If you don't eat breakfast, even if you eat it, there is no nutrition, only empty calories. Chinese food is mainly rice with a few dishes! Although I ordered a little more food for dinner, I often drank some wine, soup and a bowl of rice, and soon I was full. I ate so little that I lost my appetite with two chopsticks per plate. Finally, to sum up the diet of this day, it can basically be accurately described as "useless." Carbohydrates such as rice are digested and converted into heat in about half an hour. In the absence of vitamin B, this kind of heat is called deficiency heat by nutrition, that is, heat that cannot be used! If the excess heat is not converted and utilized, it will be converted into fat storage, and the fat converted by sugar is macromolecular and difficult to be utilized, which is called trans fat in nutrition! Trans fats are far more harmful than saturated fats! Because saturated fat can be decomposed and utilized as long as lipase and lecithin are not lacking, but the utilization rate of trans fat is very low, which is easy to cause blood vessel obstruction, subcutaneous tissue accumulation and liver burden! The intake of low-fiber and high-starch foods (rice, noodles, white bread) will consume a lot of valuable enzymes in the body. The production of enzymes will consume protein, vitamins and minerals, and these valuable nutrients will be taken away by cheap rice flour, which is called "nutrition funnel" in nutrition. It is characterized by high calorie, low protein, low vitamins and minerals, which are not only low, but also take away nutrients in the body during digestion. This is a funnel! If you eat too much food, you will inevitably eat less, and the intake of vitamin B is pitiful. You don't need so much heat at all. If you can't use calories, your body will consume precious enzymes in your body to process them. This is a vicious circle! Therefore, it is time to correct the wrong practice of taking rice as the staple food! It is wise to eat more vegetables and less! Maybe, you don't feel much when you eat a lot of food for two days a day or two a year, but after ten or twenty years, it will definitely do great harm to your body! A habit can save a nation! Let everyone act together and call on people around them to eat vegetables as a meal and eat rice as a snack! Eat more vegetables, eat less, and change the physique of the whole Chinese nation from an early age! Let's make a sound together to change this bad habit, free the people of China from the bad catering culture, and start with the restaurant reform, for the sake of overall health! Start with the kitchen reform! Let vegetables and fruits become our staple food, so that we can eat more abundant foods: beans, sweet potatoes, pumpkins, yams, coix seed, broccoli, Chinese cabbage, red dates, peanuts and so on. Without that bowl of rice, we can eat dozens of vegetables, delicious, delicious and even better! Nowadays, nutrition experts all over the world have shifted their attention from the early concern about "cholesterol and fat" to the problem of sugar! Scientists keep experimenting and tracking, and more and more evidence proves that cholesterol and fat are not the real causes of heart disease and hypertension, but the high homocysteine caused by vitamin B deficiency and high sugar intake is the culprit! Harvard Medical School has revised the food pyramid as early as 2002, changing the whole grain food from the bottom of the pyramid to the top of the pyramid, which is to encourage people to eat less foods with high starch, low fiber, low protein and low vitamins and minerals! RayKurzweil, the author of "Live Long enough to Live Happier" in the United States, completely removed grains from his food pyramid and replaced them with richer vegetables, and advocated getting carbohydrates from vegetables and fruits! Modern nutritionists have extracted at least two kinds of nutrients from rice husk, which have high curative effects on cancer, anti-tumor and rheumatoid arthritis. One is called "IP6" and the other is called "1, 3, β-glucan". protein, vitamin B and vitamin E contained in rice husk have also been proved to be very beneficial to human body. It's a pity that we do the opposite, insist on "removing its essence and taking its dross", regard this dross as our staple food for three meals a day, and openly put this "dross" and this white rice at the bottom of the food pyramid to induce the public to insist on eating a bowl every day like being possessed, otherwise they won't feel that they are eating! Unfortunately, people didn't notice that the organization that announced the food pyramid was not a health education management organization, but the Ministry of Agriculture, which specializes in selling rice! Seeing this, shouldn't you be vigilant? For the health of yourself and your family, buy less rice and more fruits and vegetables. Those grandparents, don't bite rice into their grandchildren's mouths, and don't cultivate their habit of eating junk food as their staple food! The era of' having food is happiness' is gone forever! During the Cultural Revolution until the early 1980s, rice was probably the food people dreamed of. Because of its shortage, everyone eats less. With a few poor food stamps, one month's food and clothing is not enough for a family. So, at that time, pumpkins, potatoes, taro, soybeans and sweet potatoes, these vegetables replaced the staple food rice. No wonder the old people now regard rice as a treasure. This bowl of glistening rice seems to be the most desirable picture in that tragic history! However, they may not know that it is the lack of rice that lays the foundation for their health! Those pumpkins, potatoes, taro, soybeans and sweet potatoes are the guarantee of their health! This is also one of the important reasons why people at that time rarely had chronic diseases such as hypertension, heart disease, diabetes and cancer. The problem is that after the reform and opening up, rice is no longer a' rarity' for the rich in China, so people naturally eat a lot of rice that they once dreamed of, pour a bowl of sugar into their bodies, and challenge the limit of carrying waste! The memory of poverty is an alcoholic's addiction, which is hard to change. Perhaps the disaster has left a deep impression on people. After the disaster, life has improved, but the habits accumulated from poverty and suffering have to be reviewed for generations and cannot be erased. Now, how many people can realize the harm of rice to health? How many people can get rid of this long-standing bad habit of taking rice as the staple food? Figure 1: The food pyramid (old version) published by USDA 1992 advocates eating more grains and less oil. Figure 2: In 2002, Harvard Medical School reached a new conclusion and published a new food pyramid based on 20 years' follow-up investigation.
