Development course of eye exercises
"In order to protect vision and prevent myopia, eye exercises should start now and close your eyes ..." This set of eye exercises accompanied by soothing music, coupled with crisp children's voices calling for the beat, is still kind and familiar to many people over middle age in China in the 2 1 century. As early as 1972, the State Education Commission of China stipulated that primary school students should do eye exercises twice a day between classes. Over the years, this has become an unshakable eye protection project in every school. Every child in China has joined the ranks of doing eye exercises since he entered school. As a tradition of China campus culture, eye exercises have already been integrated into the lives of generations, bearing the memories of generations.

Practice shows that the correct operation of eye exercises combined with eye hygiene can control new cases of myopia and play a role in protecting eyesight and preventing myopia. If you do eye exercises so-so or posture acupuncture points are incorrect, it is tantamount to scratching your boots and not playing its due role.

The title song of eye exercises

Short nails and clean hands. Quiet, as requested. Accurate acupoint selection and correct manipulation. Moderate strength, soreness and pain. In tune with the festival, not chaotic. First four quarters, close your eyes. In the last two sections, keep your eyes open. Eyes are red and swollen, and movement is suspended. Furuncle on face, taboo. Doing eye exercises is very expensive. It's hard to see the work in form.

A survey revealed a grim situation.

In China, eye exercises first started in the 1960s, and Beijing was the first city in China to carry out eye exercises. It was born from a health survey.

196 1 Beijing municipal education bureau conducted a vision survey among primary and secondary school students in the city. The results show that the myopia rate of primary and secondary school students increases obviously with age. The myopia rate of primary school students is 10%, junior high school students are 20%, and senior high school students are 30%. This set of survey figures made many people realize the urgency and necessity of protecting the eyesight of primary and secondary school students at that time, so they began to try to find a good way to protect their eyesight.

The Beijing Municipal Education Bureau is understaffed, and there are only three teachers in the Department of Physical Education and Health. In fact, Yan Yirou alone has 1 person in charge of student health work. At that time, there were two teachers in charge of students' health education in the city, namely Yu He of the Municipal Epidemic Prevention Station (now Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention). After discussion, the three men decided to form a "cooperative group of workers, peasants and soldiers" and immediately began to prevent myopia in primary and secondary schools in the city.

Yan Yirou and Yu He imagine popularizing a massage exercise that can make eyes healthy in primary and secondary schools. After many inquiries, they learned that Liu Shiming, director of the Physical Education Teaching and Research Group of Beijing Medical College (now peking university health science center), had created a set of eye exercises, so they called home and humbly asked for advice. Liu Shiming has certain attainments in traditional Chinese medicine massage. My myopia reaches 700 degrees, and my child's myopia is 600 degrees and 1000 degrees respectively. In the usual exploration, Liu Shiming created a set of eye exercises to treat his own and his children's eye diseases, and achieved certain results in controlling the development of myopia. This set of eye exercises consists of 8 sections, including not only text descriptions, but also acupoint maps. Under the guidance of Liu Shiming, the three of them quickly mastered acupuncture points and techniques. In order to verify its feasibility, at 1963, they decided to pilot it in Beijing No.28 Middle School first. At that time, Beijing Jingshan School, Beimencang Primary School and other schools began to try this set of eye exercises.

From Beijing to the whole country.

Since 1963, the first set of 8-segment eye exercises has been gradually popularized in some primary and secondary schools in Beijing. Zhang, Minister of Propaganda Department of Beijing Municipal Committee, published a half-page editorial entitled "Care for Eyes" on the front page of Beijing Daily. Deng Tuo, secretary of the municipal party committee, also held a meeting in the municipal party committee for this purpose, and gave instructions at the meeting, demanding that myopia prevention work be done for primary and secondary school students. At the same time, the meeting also called for the establishment of "Vision Protection Offices" in the municipal and district education bureaus respectively. Beijing Daily also specially organized people from all walks of life to hold a symposium on the popularization and promotion of eye exercises, and the whole city of Beijing really began to promote eye exercises to primary and secondary school students with great fanfare.

With the support of superior leaders and all walks of life, Yu Fengxiu and others are more enterprising. They first conduct centralized training for the staff of health and epidemic prevention stations in various districts and counties, and then these people are responsible for training the teachers in charge of health work in various schools. At the same time, Yu and others also train primary and secondary school class cadres in batches every day in the Third Hospital of Beijing Medical University, and then these class cadres go back to give classes to students. Education bureaus in various districts often send special personnel to their respective schools to check the specific situation of doing eye exercises and preventing myopia. Every night during self-study, the Education Bureau and the epidemic prevention station will send people to the school for spot checks, measure the brightness of classroom lights with an illuminance meter, and then measure the distance from students' eyes to the table with a ruler to see if it meets the standard distance above 1 city ruler.

With the joint efforts of many people, eye exercises are rapidly popularized and popularized in primary and secondary schools in Beijing. From the city to the district, from the school to the class, this work is implemented at all levels. At that time, in Beijing, eye exercises were well known to women and children. At the same time, driven by Beijing, eye exercises were quickly followed by some foreign cities and quickly implemented in primary and secondary schools across the country.

After the Cultural Revolution, in order to protect the eyes of the campus, we sang again.

With the arrival of 1966 "Cultural Revolution", the school was closed and the teacher went home, and the voice of questioning eye exercises was endless: "Liu Shiming was nicknamed Liu Blind, and he and his children were both highly myopic. Why do you want to continue the eye exercises he learned at school? " In this sound, eye exercises will "die" halfway. Yu Fengdong and others carefully preserved the hand-painted illustrations and waited quietly. It was not until 1972 school resumed normal classes that Yu Fengxiu and other talents moved out of their eye exercises for many years.

With the previous foundation, it will be much easier to popularize. But at this time, a question was raised: whether this exercise is feasible has not been demonstrated by experts. Therefore, Yu, Yan Yirou decided to seek theoretical support. After many twists and turns, with their enthusiasm and sincerity, they invited two of the most famous Chinese massage experts in Beijing at that time-Lu, director of orthopedics of Beijing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine and director of massage department of Guang 'anmen Hospital of Chinese Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The two experts basically affirmed the health care function of this set of eye exercises, and corrected and emphasized the massage techniques. In order to facilitate learning and promotion, they simplified the original eight eye exercises to five under the guidance of two experts, and made some changes.

At first, when doing eye exercises in the pilot school, the health committee in the class shouted a password. In order to facilitate the operation and promotion, Yu Fengxiu and others discussed making a record of eye exercises, and planned to print a batch of standard acupoint wall charts for eye exercises. In order to realize this wish, they began to look for models all over the city, and finally chose a girl named Liu, a fifth-grade student in bright primary school. She looks clever, beautiful and lovely, and her eyes are big and bright, which fully meets the standards. The model of the wall chart has been determined. Next, they found a girl with a sweet voice from Capital Normal University of Physical Education to shout the password, and asked the Chinese record club to make a record with folk music as the soundtrack. Due to frequent use, the records of eye exercises in many schools have been worn out, and the original production unit produced them at one time, with no surplus. As a result, Yu Fengxiu and others began to ponder a new set, and they made up their minds to surpass the last set in quality this time. The idea is affirmative, and the three people show their magical powers in tackling key problems. Finally, the composition was finalized by the PLA Military Orchestra, accompanied by the Song and Dance Troupe of the General Political Department. Finally, the production was completed in the recording studio near the Academy of Agricultural Sciences. This time, a tape was released. Accompaniment music is no longer the last folk music, but percussion instruments such as sand hammer are used, which will highlight the sense of rhythm and the sound is much better than the previous version. Thus, the second set of eye exercises was born. These five exercises were carried out from 1972, then changed to four, and continue to this day.

In 2008, the new version of eye exercises was launched.

In 2008, a new version of eye exercises came out. From May to July, 2008, Beijing Center for Disease Control and Prevention conducted trial tracking and effect evaluation of the new version of eye exercises for 300 primary and middle school students. By comparing the changes of students' eyesight, mental labor ability index and eye blood flow velocity before and after the operation of the new and old eye exercises, the evaluation shows that the new version of eye exercises has obvious effects on improving students' eyesight and relieving eye fatigue, and all indexes are better than the old version of eye exercises.

The new version of eye exercises is based on the meridian theory of traditional Chinese medicine. After the original two chapters are revised, one of them is replaced, and the total duration is still 5 minutes. There is a section in the old version called "dry face washing". Considering that the bacteria on students' hands may enter the eyes and mouth, the new version changes it to "pressing the acupoints on the head". Du meridian point is from the midpoint of the face to the spine. Considering the convenience of operation, the fifth section only massages the forehead to the back of the head. In addition, the new version of eye exercises not only ensures the effect, but also takes into account the students' interests. For example, in the first section, the action of scratching toes is added, which can not only stimulate the head and eyes in the plantar reflex area, but also make students feel "very interesting" in a novel way.
