Bottom line: there is no constant master in the landscape, and leisure is the top line for the master.
With money and no money, it is always hard to say what you want, and contentment is what you want.

Landscape flowers, trees and bamboo, there is no constant master, leisure is the master.

This couplet was written by Zhang Ying and hung in his thatched cottage. See Cong Xun Zhai Yu. Fu's six chapters of a floating life, keeping in good health, his couplets and stories, and his aphorisms are all compiled with this couplet. Zhang Ying (1637- 1708), Zi Dunfu, was born in Tongcheng, Anhui. Kangxi was a scholar in six years, a bachelor in Wenhua Hall, and a history of rites.

Zhang Ying explained this couplet as follows: its language is vulgar, but it is reasonable. "The world is better than water, and beautiful flowers and bamboos are infinite. About the rich serving fame and fortune, the poor are hungry and cold, so they have no leisure. But Fu Zhihao sighed. " (Cong Xun Zhai Yu) The first part of the League never talks about contentment. It is always difficult to say "rich and poor", but if you want to be satisfied, you must be satisfied. The second part also uses the method of contrast, saying that mountains and rivers, flowers and bamboos, natural beauty, and there is no permanent owner, anyone who has leisure can enjoy it. Only "free" people can become "masters" of landscape flowers and bamboos. Shen Fu said: "If you are satisfied and have leisure, you will enjoy yourself and be good at taking pictures." ("Six Chapters of a Floating Life Health") To be exact, the moon and the breeze are taken at will; Green mountains and green waters roam freely.
