therapeutic method

(1) Enema with warm water to discharge intestinal feces, then apply hot compress with 0. 1% potassium permanganate or 2% alum solution, and send prolapsed rectum to anus after edema subsides. If the edema is serious, after washing with the above method, puncture the edema mucosa with a fine needle, and then apply hot compress with 3% alum water. This method is suitable for sick cows with first onset.

(2) For the sick cattle suffering from this disease for many times, the prolapsed part should be washed by the above method, then the swollen and necrotic mucosa should be crushed by hand, rubbed with alum powder, and the edema fluid should be squeezed out, then the mucosal fragments should be cut off, and finally the prolapsed rectum should be sent back to the anus.

(3) Injecting alcohol or 10% sodium chloride solution 20 ~ 30ml and 2% procaine solution 5ml around the anus can also prevent the anus from prolapse again.

(4) Decocting Radix Saposhnikoviae and Alumen for cleaning the fallen intestine, then putting a small amount of Borneolum Syntheticum into the live snail, and then taking out the water dissolved in the snail shell and coating it on the fallen intestine, so that the fallen intestine automatically retracts into the anus.

(5) 38g of Radix Astragali, 30g of Pericarpium Citri Tangerinae, 26g of Radix Bupleuri, 23g of Radix Angelicae Sinensis, 37g of Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae, 38g of Cimicifuga, 38g of Radix Codonopsis and 20g of Radix Glycyrrhizae, all of which are ground into fine powder and taken with boiled water.

(8) If the prolapse time is too long, when the above methods are ineffective, surgical resection can be adopted.
