Tongchuan New District is more than 60 kilometers away from Xi government. Local people say Tongchuan refers to the old district (Wang Yi District+yintai district), which was once the seat of Tongchuan Municipal Government. However, due to the long and narrow terrain of the old district, it is difficult to expand and develop, so Tongchuan New District, a provincial economic development zone, was established next to Yaoxian County, more than 20 kilometers away. After development, Yaoxian County was changed to Yaozhou District, and the new district belongs to Yaozhou District administratively. Although in the eyes of local people, the two are separated, most of them use their previous names, and there is Yaoxian County on the slope.

For young people, the old district gives people a lively feeling. There are many kinds of food and snacks, but there are also many elderly people. As for Tongchuan New District, it gives people a clean and spacious feeling. Because the planning orientation more than 20 years ago was a garden city, there are no dense high-rise buildings in the new district. On the contrary, there are many squares, wide roads and many green spaces. People who come for the first time will feel a little empty, but from a distance, they will see many tall buildings. During the day, there are always more vehicles on the main roads than pedestrians, and people in the new area seem to prefer to go out for a walk at night. At night, the Central Palace, Sunshine Square, Sports Square and Painting and Calligraphy Park began to be bustling. With the construction of the new space city and other projects, Wuyue Plaza, Zhong Jun World City and other large shopping malls have also signed contracts to land in the new area, and more high-rise houses and houses have been delivered continuously, which has also brought the surrounding population to the new area.

Tongchuan seems to position itself as a high-tech, tourist and health-preserving city. In terms of health, it is the hometown of Sun Simiao, and the Yuhua Palace in the Summer Palace is the place where Tang Xuanzang died. Besides, at least it's cooler in summer, and the smog is much better than Xi 'an. Xiyan high-speed railway is under construction, and spending in Xi 'an in the next half hour is not bad.
