Ingredients: one bird's nest lamp, 3 red dates, Lycium barbarum 10, and appropriate amount of rock sugar.
1. Swallow bulbs and boil them with cold water or purified water for about 8 hours, and change the water 1-2 times.
2. Tear the soaked bird's nest into small strips along the lines of the bird's nest. If there is too much hair, you can gently pick it out with tweezers here.
3. Put the bird's nest and the previously prepared red dates and medlar into a saucepan, and add a proper amount of cold boiled water or purified water to stew for about 40 minutes. Don't put too much water when the water level exceeds the bird's nest by one or two centimeters. The control of water quantity in this step is the key. (If you have a rice cooker, you can stew it directly. If not, you can cook in a wok, which is simple and practical. )
Main producing areas of bird's nest:
The main origin of bird's nest is from the Philippines in the east to the desert island caves near the coast of Myanmar in the west, with Indonesia, Malaysia, Sandakan, Singapore, Thailand and the South China Sea islands as the majority. Among them, Indonesia's weather and environment are most suitable for swallows to live in compact communities, so its bird's nest has the best quality.
Indonesia is also the country with the largest bird's nest production, followed by Malaysia. According to statistics, by the end of 20 10, Indonesia's bird's nest accounted for 85%-90% of the global bird's nest production, Malaysia accounted for 5%- 10%, Thailand 3%, Vietnam, the Philippines and other places about 2% (refer to the data of Hong Kong Trade Department for several years). A subspecies of Jin Siyan in Java, which can produce edible bird's nest, was once collected in Yannan Island.
Jin Siyan has a short mouth, which is produced in the southwest of China and the southeast of Quincy. The earliest works with detailed records are Materia Medica and Ben Feng Jingyuan. There are six kinds of bird's nest in Jin Siyan that can produce bird's nest. The saliva secreted by various birds of Swift (Swift Family) and their down is mixed and condensed on cliffs or farmhouses.
