"There is wind in Chu, and the south is beautiful and the north is heroic" is the most distinctive regional historical and cultural feature of Xuzhou. Xuzhou is one of China's Kyushu in history. After the founding of the Western Han Dynasty, Liu Bang designated Pengcheng and its vicinity as an important vassal state-Chu State, and named his closest brother, King Jiao Wei Liu Chu.
