The school implements the research school strategy, attaches importance to creating a good academic atmosphere, and actively organizes educational and teaching research, scientific research and scientific and technological development. Special attention is paid to the use of Luoyang's historical and cultural advantages, combined with regional economic construction and social development, to carry out humanities and social science research, and achieved fruitful results. From 2000 to 2004, it was awarded as an advanced unit of social science research in Luoyang for five consecutive years. The national social science projects he undertook, Research on Thoughts of Doubting the Ancient Times and Complete Notes on Han Fu, have a high academic level. The research institutes of Laozi's philosophy, Zhouyi and Archaeology, Cifu and Korean Studies, which were established successively, focused on the study of Heluo culture and achieved a lot of valuable research results.

Since 1996, the school has successively completed 139 teaching and research projects at or above the prefecture level, and won 57 awards, including 60 teaching and research projects at or above the provincial level, such as the National Natural Science Foundation project and the National Philosophy and Social Science Planning project, and won the second prize of the Ministry of Science and Technology 1 item, and 3 first, second and third prizes of the scientific and technological progress in Henan Province. 277 books and textbooks have been compiled, of which 65,438+005 are independent or edited. The school has carried out extensive academic exchanges at home and abroad, and invited many famous scholars from China to give lectures. In recent years, the Institute of Oriental Culture of our school has hosted or undertaken many large-scale academic activities, such as the International Symposium on Ci and Fu Creation, the International Symposium on the Thought of "Zhu Cheng" between China and South Korea, the Symposium on the Thought of Doubting the Ancient Times in the 20th Century, and the International Symposium on "Two-way Learning and Practical Learning", which have exerted great influence on academic circles at home and abroad. Established substantive cooperative relations with three universities in three countries, and sent teachers, visiting scholars and trainees abroad to give lectures, visit, study and pursue doctoral and master's degrees. The school also employs foreign scholars and teachers for long-term cooperation in teaching and scientific research.
