How is the electric kettle leaking?
Electric kettles are widely used in people's lives, so they are also a concern in terms of safety. We know that when electrical appliances work for a long time, or use for a long time, or the design life of the product itself has passed, various failures will occur, and even pose a threat to people's safety.

Most of the causes of electric leakage are that after long-term use of electrical appliances, some live contacts of the products themselves are damaged or hardened, resulting in electric leakage. In life, electric kettles also leak electricity!

There are two possibilities for electric kettle leakage:

1, heating pipe: The heating pipe of the electric kettle is made of an alloy wire with insulation and thermal conductivity and magnesia, sealed with silica gel and welded at the bottom of the kettle.

Usually, we can't see the working state of the heating pipe. When the electric kettle is used for a long time, the material will harden and lead to leakage. In this case, only the heating pipe can be replaced.

2. There is water or other conductive substances at the wiring.

In this case, you can clean it with a dry towel.

In fact, the best way to detect the leakage of hot water kettle is to contact the charged hot water kettle with an electric pen. If the light on the electric pen is on, it will go out immediately, which basically shows that the charged body is charged with static electricity. And if the light on the pencil is on all the time, it must be that the kettle is leaking electricity.

According to the national regulations, electrical appliances with metal shell must have good grounding, so the qualified electric kettle adopts a three-pin power plug with grounding wire. The metal shell of the electric kettle is accidentally charged, and current will pass through the human body after contact. Because the resistance of human body is much smaller than that of grounding device, it will not cause great danger to human body when touching the electric kettle. At present, most families have installed leakage switches. If there is leakage, the leakage switch at home will also cut off the power supply.
