Jianghan Plain, located in the south-central part of Hubei Province, the province of Yeqian Lake in Hanzhong, is named after the alluvial deposits of the Yangtze River and the Han River. Jianghan Plain is located in the west and middle of the two lakes basin, with criss-crossing rivers and dotted lakes. It is an important part of the plain in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River. Together with Dongting Lake Plain, it is called "Two Lakes Plain", with an average elevation of only about 27 meters, which is one of the lowest plains in China.
