Jinyun Mountain has more than 20,000 mu of forest and 1700 kinds of subtropical plants. It is a famous plant treasure house and forest park in Sichuan. Among them, there are some rare plants, such as Monkey Joy, Thornless Crown Pear, Jinyun Qiongnan, Bole Tree, Ginkgo biloba, Red Bean and Moth Tree. There is also a rare living fossil tree in the world-Metasequoia glyptostroboides, which is a paleontological species that existed 65.438+0.6 billion years ago.
Jinyun Mountain is more than ten original Buddhist temples in Sichuan, including Jinyun Mountain Temple and Wenquan Temple. Jinyun Temple is located in front of the "Lion" and "Juyun" peaks, with its back facing the mountains and its front facing the valley. Surrounded by towering old trees and bamboo forests. This is a magnificent ancient temple in the deep mountains. It was built in the first year of Jingping in the Southern Song Dynasty (423) and has been repaired and expanded throughout the ages. It flourished in the Song Dynasty and was destroyed by the fire in the late Ming Dynasty. The existing temple was rebuilt in the 22nd year of Qing Emperor Kangxi (1683).
There are also many ancient buildings and historical sites in the Six Dynasties, Song, Ming and Qing Dynasties on Jinyun Mountain. 1930, Master Taixu, a Buddhist elder, got the support of Liu Xiang, the governor of Sichuan, and founded the Sino-Tibetan Institute of Religious Science in Jinyun Temple. The following year, it was officially named "World Sino-Tibetan Buddhist Academy of Religious Sciences", with Master Daxu as the dean, and invited Luosang Huketu, Manzhi and Chaoyi from Lhasa and Kangding to come to this bishop. At that time, "Lama came to Chongqing, and there was an endless stream before and after ..." Jinyun Mountain became the pure land of Buddhism at that time and gained the reputation of "Little Emei".
Jinyun Mountain National Nature Reserve is a famous scenic spot in China, and it is also a famous scenic spot in eastern Sichuan. It has outstanding characteristics such as quiet, dangerous, heroic, strange and beautiful scenery. In ancient times, there was Wang Erjian's poem "Guling Mountain Clouds", whose preface said: "Jiu Feng in Jinyun Mountain strives for beauty, and its color is as red as clouds. It is red. " Jinyun Mountain is misty and the sun sets. The mountains reflected by the setting sun are as red as fire, colorful and spectacular. The ancients took "more red and less white" as their motto, hence the name Jinyun Mountain.
Jinyun Mountain has beautiful natural scenery, towering peaks, rainbow-shaped rocks and lush trees. It is "mountains like jasper, water like Dai, clouds in the blue sky and bright moon". From east to west, there are nine peaks in the mountains, including Asahi Peak, censer Peak, Lion Peak, Juyunfeng Peak, Ape Peak and Lotus Peak. Peak shapes are different and have their own characteristics. Among them, Lotus Peak is the highest, Lion Peak is the most beautiful, censer Peak is the strangest, and Baota Peak is the most famous. In addition, the famous Jinyun Temple stands in front of Lion Peak and Juyunfeng Peak. It has a history of 1500 years since it was built in the first year of Jingping in Liu Song in the Southern and Northern Dynasties. There is an ancient Buddha named Gaya in the temple, about 2 meters high, which is a statue of Buddhist art in the Qing Dynasty. Watching the sunrise and enjoying the sea of clouds at Lion Peak is as magnificent as Mount Tai in Dongyue.
There is also a Baiyun Village at the waist of Jinyun Mountain, which is backed by Zhao Qianfeng, so there is an ancient temple called Baiyun Temple. The bamboo here is like the sea, full of green. Layers of bamboo sea are covered with two or three huts, and one or two birds sing the beautiful forest to the end. Under the shadow of the dense leaves in the bamboo sea, the sunlight is divided into filaments, and the light fog in the forest gradually transpires under the sunlight and condenses into dew on the bamboo leaves, which is refreshing and fascinating. Looking at Lin Nakakoji, I feel fresh, and the beauty of Yaochi is instantly obvious here.
There is Chongqing Botanical Garden in Jinyun Mountain Nature Reserve, and Jinyun Mountain is rich in vegetation. Among the more than 900 subtropical plants in/kloc-0, there are 24 rare plants under national first-,second-and third-class protection, and Metasequoia glyptostroboides, sequoia and Bole are even more rare in the world. The ancient trees in the mountains are towering, bamboo forests, temples, pagodas and pavilions are faintly visible, and the peaks, villages, caves and walls are full of weather. Looking from the distant mountains, the sea of clouds is choppy. Many cultural relics from Wei, Jin, Six Dynasties to Ming Dynasty adorn it, adding a long-standing ancient meaning. Jiu Feng, located in the north of Chongqing, stands tall and beautiful in Jinyun Mountain. Due to the high mountains, dense forests and many clouds, the normal temperature is about 5-7 degrees lower than that in urban areas. Beautiful mountains and clear waters are a famous summer resort in Chongqing. In addition, Jinyun sweet tea with local characteristics is also a specialty here.
