According to the book of Fengyang in the apocalypse of Ming Dynasty, it used to be a depression, and the Huai River flowed backwards until Xujiaqiao and Wang Yang, thus forming a lake. However, its water source also comes from many streams and bays between Fenghuang Mountain, Ant Mountain, Meihua Mountain, Donglu Mountain and Xilu Mountain. Huaiyuan County and Wuhe County were originally directly under Anhui Province, and later belonged to Huaisi Road in Anhui Province. Longzihu District belongs to Fengyang County. In the Republic of China 16 (1927), the Nanjing National Government was established and officially abandoned, and Fengyang County was directly under the jurisdiction of Anhui Province. At the beginning of 1929, Bengbu City Preparatory Office was established, and it was revoked the following year, and it still belongs to Fengyang County.
